EL the Famous
Looks like they screened it in Minneapolis in August, but outside of that...I can't find a lick of info. I really need this to come out on DVD or at least screen in Chicago.
skyflynn
Yeah, I got to see some of their Run Westy Run footage. I really hope they don't cut a second of it because it just knocked me right on my ass. Just like they used to.
solace
it actually screened last year sometime but they did an encore one since it sold out last year. it's very cool but a lot of the footage is pretty raw. they did one this year at Sound Unseen called "7 Nights in the Entry" which was filmed over a 7 night span at the 7th Street Entry in like 1983 or something (tiny venue next door to First Ave). the video & audio quality of this one was far superior to the Heyday one (same guy put it together though). had like 3 or 4 Husker songs, 3 or 4 Mats' ones, and a bunch of other great local Mpls bands from back in the day
H.Stone
Gotta get my hands on that... Looks like this guy (Rick Fuller) has done a lot of other great stuff, too.
H.Stone
An email from Fuller: There are no plans to release Hayday on DVD unfortunately. I made themovie to benefit the nonprofit DEMOMN.org, and it would be up to them topursue the music publishing rights to secure a DVD release. At the moment, only Mpls. screenings were granted by the artists. My guess the nextscreening will be in Spring of '08 somewhere in Mpls. DEMOMN.org's websitewill have info if/when it happens. Westerberg DVD is out of print, but is still available on ebay. Soul Asylum "Live At First Ave/Silver Lining" is available at Best Buystores only. "Something Out Of Nothing" and "Never Too Late, Never TooSoon" are again tied up in music publishing issues, but Soul Asylum plansfor a DVD compilation someday, and they'll be on it I would think. Thanks for your interest, sorry I couldn't be more help. Sincerely, Rick
