new city - doing shows, solo

Anyone move to a new city, and the few friends who are into music can't make it, and thus you must brave it alone. been to plenty of shows and strangely never alone. its odd to think about. and im sure it will be very damned odd when its happening later tonight.

 

so much to think about... whats the etiquette, how do i act, do i sidle up to strangers and sing in their ear, do i act obnoxiously friendly, get raging drunk? all of these questions and more race through my mind. comments, advice, commiserations?

EDIT: for some reason I thought you were playing a solo show by yourself for the first time, instead of with a band. Anyway....
