mountain bed
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/New_Wave_Theatre Anyone remember this show? I taped a few hours of this show off of the Night Flight program back in the early '80's. I recently looked at this again and wow...what an amazing freak show! There's quite a bit of interesting vids from the show on youtube, if anyone cares to check it out. The host, Peter Ivers, was a very strange dude and some of the mock commercials (for "Genkel's") were out-of-this-world. The show introduced me to some really great bands I'd never heard of: 45 Grave, The Plugz, and a number of semi-obscure L.A. hardcore and New Wave bands. Not to mention the staples of the early scene like the Dead Kennedys, Circle Jerks, Fear etc. Reminiscences and opinions about the show are appreciated!
Analogman
I don't think we had that channel in the trailer park. We must have been watching Night Tracks, Video Jukebox, and/or Friday Night Videos then. Man, that was a long time ago and a good friend of mine was alive then.
