jenbobblehead
Ok, so how come when i use the "newer version" of gmail, i lose access to all my contacts? I can see them in the quick contact list along the side, but if i click on the link that says "contacts" i just get an empty box of sadness. If i switch back to the old version i can see, edit and add to my contacts? what is up with that?

napoleon
the new version really frustrates me. it keeps freezing up my browser. i have no clue why, my computer isn't slow and/or old.
dylan's 50th beard
there's an option in the top right corner of gmail along with settings, sign out, etc that says "older version". it allows you to use the old gmail if you so prefer.
kathyp
Gmail's been freezing up my browser for about two years now. I've actually gone back to using Yahoo mail as my main email address. It's not perfect either, but at least it opens. Maybe it's just too early in the morning, but I didn't even notice Gmail had upgraded. It doesn't look any different to me. jenbobblehead
gmail froze on my older laptop, with XP. I have had no such problems, save the empty contacts box, on Vista on the new computer.
bjorn_skurj
I have had zero problems using it with XP and Firefox on my laptop and work unit. I like it so much that I have all my work e-mail automatically forwarded to a gmail account so it does not clog up my work unit.
