Gish, Mellon Collie and Siamese Dream - any suggestions on particular tracks I should listen to/download?!? Thanks Siamese Dream was the only album during my sophmore year of college that I listened to inscently beside grateful dead. i was never really into alternative music, but his album just nailed me after i ended up seeing them in a small venue right when the album came out. Awesome album and a real grower. Key tracks-Mayonaise, Hummer, Soma. It was one of those albums i would put on and before i know it, it was over. That doesn't happen often. can't even remember the last time that happened. Gish has a few fun tunes on it and i would go to that before mellon collie. that album is too overblown but does have some nuggets. craig

the_fliz1
I don't know much of their music but a friend dl'd a few of their albums on my computer back a while ago. Gish, Mellon Collie and Siamese Dream - any suggestions on particular tracks I should listen to/download?!? Thanks I'm a fan of their Pisces Iscariot B-sides album so anything off of that. The song "Drown" from the Singles soundtrack is my favorite song of theirs. Then there is the normal choices like "Tonight, Tonight", & "Disarm"(Although I would recommend the heavier version of the song that is on their greatest hits album). Other than that I would recomend "Mayonnaise", "Bodies", or "Through the Eyes of Ruby". I will caution to stay away from anything after Mellon Collie unless you are into electronica dance type stuff. I was horribly turned off with their last couple of albums. Also, I haven't heard the new album "Zeitgeist" yet so I can't comment.
Guest David Puddy
certainly Siamese Dream and Mellon Collie. these are musts. in their entirety.
Vacant Horizon
Added, ty Let us know what you think. I might have to dig that one out now that i think of it. Other second tier tracks are: Cherub Rock, Geek USA (nice spacey bridge), Rockit, and of course Silver Fuck. Today is good too, but way overplayed. And, I could do without Disarm and Space Boy.Craig PS-that b-sides comp is probably their second best disc. Some nice stuff between the underproduced Gish and Siamese Dream. Key tracks there are Drown, Plume, and Starla. Damn, awesome song!
imsjry
They actually have a new 5 song, acoustic EP out there that kicks all kind of ass over their last CD. It may have actually redeemed the horror that was "Zeitgeist".
TCP
If you want to venture over to Adore, I really enjoyed "To Sheila" and "For Martha".
Wilco Worshipper
At first listen, I did like the three I put on. I'm going to take 'em in a bit more and then I'll add the others that you all have suggested here. Thanks for the help!
