Griddles
My computer's dvd/cd burner has broken. Why? I have no idea. I make a play list hit burn and then it burns and itunes says it its done, but the cds will not play anywhere. So I was wondering if any of you audio files, or anyone else, has any advice on which type of new burner? internal or external is ok with me.
Analogman
Are you sure it a hardware problem and not a software problem? Do you use Nero?
Griddles
I have just been burning music and movies with itunes.
Analogman
I don't know shit about itunes. Maybe you already have - but, I would do some more troubleshooting before you go replacing hardware. Do you have anyone computer dudes you can call on?
KevinG
make sure you not burning data files or Mp3 CDs (Edit>Preferences>Adavanced>Burning>Disc Format). Make sure it say audio. If you have another burning program try that too prior to shelling out a couple hundred bucks for a new burner.
Griddles
Yeah, I checked that itunes stuff. And have now tried just writing a text document to a cd, but no luck. The cd writing wizard ejected the cd and said that the writing failed and the cd may be usable. At this point I think I will have the geek squad check it out. They do stuff like this right? Any other advice?
