LouieB
that casino is booking all kinds of big name talent. if anything, the bookers are doing the Pumpkins a favor by having them there.Yea, I don't disagree......not any more (I did initially), but now I am sure they need ALL the help they can get. By the way, with the possible exception of Alicia Keys all the groups mentioned in the previous posts are nostalgia acts (NOT necessarily a bad thing ya understand), but it kind of backs up my original post about this topic, not to smash any more dead pumpkins.....(Oh yea, I have no fucking idea who Bret Michaels & Rock of Love is, he could be really hot for all I know...) (Oh yea Rufus, well I am sure there are plenty of people who are nostalgic for Rufus' old days.... ) LouieB
myboyblue
For those of you offended by the Pumpkins playing at a casino, they are now back to 'proper' venues in Chicago....Auditorium and Chicago Theatre. Hell, I'd rather see them in a casino than a theatre. Then again, I wouldn't see them period nowadays. Tribune blogs
Wilco LP #7
just like madden kills the zeal to be a professional football player. i could be in the weight room right now. really a terrible comparison to draw. not the same thing, at all. a guitar hero controller actually closely resembles a guitar. and the skills that go into learning guitar hero actually resemble playing guitar on many important levels. the disconnect between real football and madden is too enormous for this comparison to be at all valid.
