Wilco Worshipper
It was alright but I MUCH preferred the books. Tho, I will tell you...I have been thinking and dreaming about them much more now that I have an actual visual in my head...*sigh* I went to a midnight showing and I don't remember EVER seeing that many people at a movie that was showing so late and yes, I and my friends were pretty much the oldest ones there Edward and Bella were great. There was some cheesy acting and I didn't like a couple of their choices for certain roles i.e. Jacob Jasper scared the beegesuz out of me and Eric was annoying. The scenery was beautiful. The fathers came off much less larger than life than they do in the books. The main story was good and did somewhat for my heart what the books did but not to the same degree AT ALL. As a HUGE fan of the series, I am glad I saw it but I wouldn't necessarily feel the urge to own it. I much prefer what's on the page and in my head
mollyegan
I am really anxious to see it. My 8th grade girls are completely obsessed...screaming, giggling, etc. I figured I would read the book to see what the draw was and loved it. Now I'm addicted- and one of them had better bring me New Moon tomorrow or there will be consequences!
Wilco Worshipper
Back in July my best friend was like "Ellen, you HAVE TO read this!". I'm said I didn't want ANYTHING to do w/ stories about teenage vampires!!! Not to mention, that I HATE to read...I know I'm lame. I read the 1st 500 or so page book in 2 days and there I was on vacation in New Hampshire STUCK because the 2nd book was back in MA I'm nearing the end of the 4th now
radiokills
i've never understood movie/book comparisons. do you judge the two based on entertainment value and then decide which one was better? i just don't get the logic involved with comparing two different art forms. just wondering.. Wilco Worshipper
I was just wondering what people thought who read the series and saw the movie, whether they thought the movie did the book justice, I guess. Like I said, I COMPLETELY preferred the book.
