PopTodd
A little old man comes to the White House after Obama starts his term. He goes to the guard and asks, "May I see President Bush?" The guard says, "Sorry sir, Mr. Bush is no longer President and therefore does not live here." The little old man comes back every day for a week asking the same question. Finally the guard asks why he keeps coming back. "I just like hearing it over again," says the man. The guard smiles and says, "See you tomorrow, sir."
cryptique
The version I heard was much longer, and the guard snapped to attention and saluted at the end.
Sir Stewart
I heard it was a talking sandwich instead of an old man, and the guard was Stephen King's son, that guy who also writes, but not under his father's surname.
