hardwood floor Posted April 1, 2009 Share Posted April 1, 2009 Duane Jarvis, brilliant musician and songwriter, died yesterday after a long battle with cancer. If you haven't heard his own terrific records, you've definitely heard his work. Duane recorded five terrific solo records and played with so many artists - Dwight Yoakam, Matt Keating, John Prine, Giant Sand, Dave Alvin and many many more - and his songs have been recorded by a litany of greats, including Lucinda Williams, Peter Case and Amy Rigby. He was even a member of the DiVinyls and before that the Odds once upon a time. Amazing, lyrical guitarist.
