bjorn_skurj
Aww, bummer. I was a huge Ballard fan at one time. He had a unique viewpoint, to be sure.
yermom
I didn't realize he was well into his 70s. I enjoyed him when I was in high school but never really gave a thought to his age. I like that about books - when they're good, they don't neccessarily tell you anything about who wrote them, they tell you about yourself instead. RIP
dondoboy
Fresh Air-J.G. BallardI think its from 1988, but its really good.
Like a Hummingbird
Fresh Air-J.G. BallardI think its from 1988, but its really good. I was suprised more people didn't reply to this at the other music website I go to as well. He really did have an influence on themes of electronic and underground sounds in the 80s. For instance, I listened to "warm leatherette" just outta respect for him that day.
