Jmendel
Does anyone have the Capo II solo version with all the little runs in between the chords tabbed out? Can't seem to find it anywhere and thought someone might be up for doing this while waiting for the new record. It would be much appreciated. Thanks

anthony
I tried to get all the chords to align properly (with code tags) and I added the little walking bass runs (which make the song, no?) BTW, C/g = 3x2013 (Dylan's favorite chord). You can also play regular C, but I like how this sounds. New Madrid - Jeff Tweedy (Uncle Tupelo) Capo II (all notation relative to Capo) Note: lower case = single notes (walking bass notes); upper case = chords /e /f# /g G C/g G /e /f# /g All my daydreams are disasters G C/g G /e /f# /g She's the one I think I love G Em C Rivers burn and then run backwards G C/g G For her That's enough /e /f# /g G C/g G /e /f# /g They all come from New York city G C/g G /e /f# /g And they woke me up at dawn G Em C She walked with me to the fountain G C/g G She held on to my arm /e /f# /g G /g /a /c C Am C'mon do what she did Roll me on to New Madrid C D /e /f# /g Shake my baby and please bring her back G /g /b /c C Am 'Cause death won't even be still It caroms over the landfill C D G Buries us all in its broken back /e /f# /g G C/g G /e /f# /g There's a man of conviction G C/g G /e /f# /g and although he's getting old G Em C Mr Browning has a prediction G C/g G We've all been told /e /f# /g G C/g G /e /f# /g So come on back to New York City G C/g G /e /f# /g Roll your trucks in at dawn G Em C Walk with me to the fountain G C/g G and hold on to my arm G /g /a /c C Am C'mon do what she did Roll me on to New Madrid C D /e /f# /g Shake my baby and please bring her back G /g /b /c C Am 'Cause death won't even be still It caroms over the landfill C D G Buries us all in its broken back

Golden Smoghead
Is there a walking bass line for the "under New Madrid" part as well? I kinda hear C - B - A (that initiates the Am for "Madrid")
