If well shot, well produced and interesting visually, it can add another layer to the music. But it also adds another layer of possible failure. You can have a great performance with a really boring visual. I have this trouble on some level with a lot of Unplugged/ acoustic shows. Even when the music's great, it's just a bunch of dudes hunched over acoustic guitars; not really that exciting to watch. My eyes just tire of watching something faster than my ears tire of hearing something. I've only seen my favorite movie maybe 10 times, but have heard my favorite record probably 500 times. So how do you prefer your live music? If given an option, would you rather hear a show on cd/iPod or watch it on DVD? Quote Link to post Share on other sites
