HotelColorado Posted December 6, 2009 Share Posted December 6, 2009 I came into Wilco in the last couple years and they have definitely shot up to being my most listened to band. I listen to a little bit of everything and have all of the 'must have' albums from the 60's, 70's etc and I can honestly admit that YHF is my favorite album of all time. I have Sufjan Stevens' Illinois and I think it is a very strong album and I certainly appreciate the effort that went into it. It is a straight concept album which requires a certain level of commitment to listen to in my mind. While YHF is sometimes considered to be a concept album, I think all of the songs can stand by themselves. I have friends who absolutely cannot stand the idea of listening to the album on it's own, but you can be sure that when IATTBYH or Jesus Etc. come on they are tapping their feet and paying attention.
