keeprighton2
Saw NY's The Antlers last night at Bush Hall in Shepherds Bush (just round the corner from the SB Empire). Very impressed, they looked at home in the grand ornate old hall with huge chanadeliers hanging from the ceiling. Guitar, drums and keyboards (no bass but didn't miss it such was the cacophony tumbling from the keyboard player). Epic yet arty - shades of Grizzly Bear, Jeff Buckley and even My Bloody Valentine. Couldn't help noticing though that one of the tracks off their 'Hospice' album entitled 'Two' sounds alot like 'A Perfect Sonnet' by Bright Eyes and I can't for the life of me think what 'Bear' reminds me of but it's been in my head all day (I thought it might have been something by Okkervil River but not so sure now). Second time at Bush Hall in a week. Alberta Cross sounding very good again there last week. Spoiled we are in London!
SarahC
Cool to read that they are a good live band. I really dig the "Hospice" record.
