anthony
One time, I was watching a film titled "Funny People". They talk about Wilco a few times and you hear a live rendition of "Jesus Etc" performed with Andrew Bird. Also, Seth Rogen wears an Uncle Tupelo shirt, I believe. Here is the scene with the Wilco shirt. Love the song choice, BTW... (not the Dirty Dancing song, the other one!)
willadelphia
Anybody know how to find the Wilco version of Ooby Dooby that they're listed as performing in the credits of Jesus' Son?
jcroach
Anybody know how to find the Wilco version of Ooby Dooby that they're listed as performing in the credits of Jesus' Son? Wow, that's a new one for me. Was it actually played in the movie or just listed in the credits? I've never seen the film. Is it possible that it was recorded for the movie but not used and then never released?
AJ673
Lets not forget the Spongebob movie!

There's gotta be a bootleg out there somewhere. The movie is streaming on Netflix and is definitely worth watching. It's a great story adapted from Denis Johnson's book of short stories, beautifully shot with a killer soundtrack and score with instrumental work by Joe Henry, excellent acting from Billy Crudup and a gorgeous Samantha Morton, plus a pretty funny early-career turn from Jack Black. Watch the movie first, then see if you can dig up Ooby Dooby. I'll keep digging myself.

I've been a fan of Tweedy since before Wilco existed and I never knew of this recording. My guess is that it's never been leaked.
