It was only two thirds full (I estimate maybe around a 900 attended) and a somewhat conservative audience (Jeff: "You look like a bunch of guys at a baby shower") didn't help things - there were grown men sharing boiled sweets in the row before us and the lady next to me kept hugging her ears every time Jeff hit his SG!! To be fair though, they did warm up and by the end of the set (which closed with "shot in the arm"!) they were all on their feet. I got the impression though that the band were a bit weary and the whole set and encore came in at under two hours. Good times though and me and Mrs Queenie now look forward to seeing them here in the land of the deep fried Scots and onto Mission Impossible Germany in September. hippityville
Just back from my trip to Aarhus (pretty nice town, by the way). Here's the setlist as written and played if anyone is interested in: AshesBull Black NovaBreak Your HeartOne WingI'll FightVia ChicagoWar On WarCountry DisappearedHandshake DrugsImpossible GermanySky Blue Sky California StarsSonny FeelingJesusHate It HereTheologiansYou Never KnowHeavy Metal DrummerWalkenI'm The ManHummingbird Shot(On and on - written on the setlist but not played) Encore Late GreatsI'm A Wheel (Monday was written but not played) Pretty much the songs they always use to play but I was glad to hear Sky Blue Sky and Hummingbird. They didn't even try to do Jesus as a singalong as there was almost no reaction by the audience to the question if people are ready for that... Pretty lame audience, but nonetheless Wilco did a good job. To me it was strange and a bit hard to keep my seat, as I had the expectation to visit a rock concert and not a musical or something... Sound and lights were brilliant!!! (I'm sorry for incorrect English, I'm a bit tired.)
