PopTodd
I had no desire to see it. But now I find out that it is the flick that they (partially) filmed in my little burg: a scene in a supermarket, and I guess there was a scene on a block where one of my little one's friends lives.Guess that I gotta go now. theashtraysays
Yes. Yes you do. Because I have to go, because my wife is a huge fan of the B-movie / world's gonna end / guys in hazmat suit genre, therefore we're gonna go... So you have to go too. It's just that simple. PopTodd
My wife hates these, but she now wants to go just to see our neighborhood on the big screen.
u2roolz
First off, Steven Soderbergh directed it, so you can drop the B movie ideas (sarcastic).Secondly, it is cool to see places you know in/on film(s). It happened to me twice in the past couple of years for The Fighter & The Invention Of Lying (both Lowell, MA) along with all of the recent Boston movies. It does look great though. Not too much coming out in September that looks decent (keep an eye out for Warrior, & for wide release films). Although, that scene where Matt Damon starts screaming "What happened?!?!! Where is she?!?!" is definitely grating and confusing and is so going to be made fun of on SNL & the like.

marino13
It was weird watching Source Code in downtown Chicago (I had no idea ahead of time it was filmed there) when the city skyline came up at the very beginning. It was also a little creepy since I had just got off a train and was hopping back on one later in the day.
