x24goss
I've got two tickets for the Detroit show and my buddy here in Indiana also has two tickets. Four of us long time friends were planning to use the four. Now, my buddy can't go and FrontGate is telling him that there is absolutely no way to change the name on the tickets. He is literally going to be 9 hours away on the day of the show and cannot pick them up. Surely there is a way to resolve this. These are not scalped tickets. One of the four simply cannot go, but he happened to be one of the two of us that purchased the two pairs of tickets. I'm all for sticking it to the scalpers, but this is ultimately sticking it to the fans. Anyone know how to fix this?
Wendy
I'd write to the mgmt company for Wilco. TMM. Their info is on the band's website. Maybe they can't do anything either, but it couldn't hurt to try. Good luck.

But in most cases, this is a way to make it harder for scalpers. Which is a good thing. And which is why they told you at Frontgatge there was no way to change the names on the tickets. Because scalpers will call Frontgate and tell the exact same story. I would call Frontgate again and speak to a manager. Of course there is a way to change the name on the ticket - it's 2011. Just because the person you spoke to didn't have the authority to do it, doesn't mean it can't be done. Give it another try. Good luck.
