sonicshoulder
I was listening to my library of Tweedy benefit shows the past few weeks priming for the Vic shows and it struck me how annoyed I am by clapping to the beat(or not to the beat in most...all cases) of songs. This has to be terribly distracting to the artist. In the words of Ron Burgundy "it's bush league".
smells like flowers
Except for in the beginning of "Airline to Heaven!" And even then, the crowd gets off the beat after the first few bars and it gets awkward.
lamradio
"And I felt.... No rhythm" - Jeff Tweedy changing the words to "Hell is Chrome" when the crowd started clapping during a solo performance. Cracks me up every time..
