Hey all, I'm a longtime fan and have seen Wilco 8 times but never in a theater with assigned seating. I have a silly question - do folks actually stay seated or do most folks stand? Just curious as I'll be seeing them in Jackson next month and kinda wanted to know what to expect. I can't imagine sitting through an entire Wilco show.

It really can go both ways.

Usually the crowd is encouraged to get on their feet midway through the main set by the band if they already aren't there. There is always a lot of talk on this board about standing vs sitting...

Good news for Jackson: It is a Saturday night (people typically let loose a little more) and I have a ticket in the front row and will be standing (domino effect).

Good to know, thanks for the reply. We're 7th row dead center so I'm glad you're standing. I haven't read this board in years but posted here some back in the day.

some people crowd surf. atleast they did back in 98

:lol

It depends, also, what seats in the venue you are occupying.

I got vulgar slurs yelled at me in the Obstructed View section of the Ryman balcony back in the fall. Sort of ruined the show for me.

Hope the crowds are nicer where you see them.
