Choo Choo Charlie
Any Albert Lee fans here? IMHO this guy is seriously under rated or at least under exposed. He's nearly 70 and every time I see him his playing just gets better - great voice too. I like it that whilst he's noted as one of the hottest country players out there he is more about country rock/rock and roll and definitely not country and western! He's on tour in Britain at the moment - plays Stafford Gatehouse Theatre this Wednesday. (26th Sept)
Plumplechook
I'm a big fan of Albert Lee. Seen him twice in Sydney in the last few years (at The Basement) and he puts on a terrific show. Really engaging personality - and of course a brilliant guitar virtuoso. Certainly one of the fastest players I've ever seen - but can also do lovely subtle stuff. Also a fine singer and piano player. I'd never miss an opportunity to check him out in concert.
linclink
Huge fan! I've never seen him front a project, but was blessed enough to see him a few times with The Everly Brothers...and...oddly enough, way back when...Muddy Waters was opening for Eric Clapton in 1979 & Albert Lee was in Clapton's band & I got to see him that night too. I'm a huge Dave Edmunds fan, but I think the coolest solo ever on any Edmunds album (& I bet Dave would agree) is Albert's work on "Sweet Little Lisa"!

I don't think Albert has played Sweet Little Lisa live for some time unfortunately.

tugmoose
From "Born Fighters" - Nick's bit at the end fairly kills. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ivZfHfKOi14
