I'm in charge of the enormous turkey this year....21 lbs, to be stuffed only directly beneath the skin, which creates a beautiful effect when sliced, and also keeps the fragile breast meat from ever drying out. I'll make a side casserole of the extra stuffing, which is full of wonderful things, and I'll make gravy once the turkey is roasted. Beyond that, we're bringing a "Chocolate Turtle Pie" (No turtles were harmed in the making of this pie) and I hope my sons are coming up with some mashed potatoes and veggies and pumpkin pie. Counting my blessings too, of which I have many, not least among which are good friends & concert companions, and music worth celebrating!
