PopTodd
But, not just any collection. This one:Early, EARLY recordings from Clinton and the gang, when they sounded more like a doo-wop or Motown group than the freaky funkateers they became later on. I used to have this on vinyl back many years ago, but it was destroyed in a flood that I had. And I never got it transferred to digital.Probably my biggest loss, musically, of that whole disaster.Anyone seen this? You got it? Know where I can get it digitally? (My turntable is messed up, too.)Would be HUGELY grateful!

Lammycat
That's really cool, I've never seen/heard that album before. I always knew them as strictly the freak show they were in the mid-late 70s.

I always knew them as strictly the freak show they were in the mid-late 70s.It was hard to find. When I finally DID find it (at Second Hand Tunes in Evanston), i plucked it from the bin a d literally did a little jig in the middle of the store, holding the record above my head.Only time I did that, for anything that I ever purchased.I was devastated when it was destroyed. But all I really care about it the music. I am not a vinyl fetishist.
LouieB
Did you try discogs?? If it is out there it will be on that website. Edit - So the graphic you have is from Discogs. So what is the graphic attached to? It should be a listing. The material itself is available on CD at least in some other format. LouieB

Not only do I do the majority of my listening away from home, but I no longer have a working turntable, either.
PopTodd
I see a couple of collections with some of the same tunes, but none have all of them. And there are some tunes that don't appear to be on any of them. This one has a few:http://www.allmusic.com/album/testifyin-mw0000465866

PopTodd
Yeah, that would be awesome. And, I can find it on vinyl online. But I need either CD or digital files at this point.Anyone seen this? You got it? Know where I can get it digitally? (My turntable is messed up, too.)Would be HUGELY grateful! To be clear, I am not looking for a handout/freebie. I pay for my music. I just want to be able to replace the songs—ALL the songs. Some of the collections I am seeing have bits and pieces of it, but not all.
Sir Stewart
Doesn't seem like it was ever available anywhere digitally, only as a vinyl boot. I looked on a bunch of Blogspot sites (so much soul/funk out there for the taking) with no luck. At this point, I'd buy the vinyl if I were you and have some online service transfer it.
