bböp
I hadn't seen this news item from a couple days ago posted or discussed anywhere yet, so I figured I'd at least post the link on here now that it's officially out there. This might not be of much interest to most people — the inner workings and machinations of band management rarely is — but I do think it's significant to at least mention on here. Now I don't have any inside information or anything, but part of me wonders if this is one reason why any Solid Sound lineup announcements might be taking a little bit longer than usual this time. TMM is not the biggest operation anyway, and I don't know how much advance warning there was of this this happening, but it's certainly tough to immediately replace someone who's been such a cog in the management operation for so long. On a personal note, I've gotten to know Ben a little bit and he was always great to me and a big help whenever anything might've come up. Sounds like this will be a great new opportunity for him, so I wish him the best of luck moving forward. He's a good guy and a smart manager who has unquestionably helped grow the Wilco brand (not to mention the solo careers of Nels and Glenn) over the years as well as done a remarkable job more recently with the rise of Lucius. kidsmoke
Sad to see Ben go, but I wish him bright new horizons! I guess his replacement will have some pretty big shoes to fill.
