  1. Best current Prime Time combover.

I like his ceaseless pointing out that the middle class is getting the shaft, but he does go against most economic thinking, which calls for less protectionism, not more. And if the borders ARE ever secured, that would drive up the price of weed, which is a hot-button issue for me, as I'm sure you can imagine.

Grow Your Own! No mexican dirt weed is worth the damage to your lungs.

    I'm a capitalist.......I'll sell you some eggs.

  2. Did you notice the screen near the front gate? There were two cameras set up at the back and they were projecting the show on the screen. I wonder if the guy with the camera near the front was with the venue? I hope not..... would be cool to some day see some footage from the show. maybe a dvdddddd....... :monkey

  3. "Oh.............If the ocean were whiskey,

    and I were a duck.

    I'd dive to the bottom

    and never come up."

Is'nt that "Rollin and Tumblin" by Muddy Waters?

Or was it "Divin Duck Blues" by Taj Mahal? :stunned

  4. They know the diehards will travel to whatever city they have to, to catch the show availible to them.

:yes 531 miles to be exact!

Jeff went on to do a "roll call" of different cities represented at the show. He mentioned Austin, Dallas, Fort Worth?, El Paso?, and even Midland. He was getting close to my home, but :no he never mentioned it. I'm sure we were the only ones from.......my town ;)

It was a great show. I'm not sure the sound was as good as Fort Worth but the crowd sure was.

  5. Fuck the South. Fuck 'em. We should have let them go when they wanted to leave. But no, we had to kill half a million people so they'd stay part of our special Union. Fighting for the right to keep slaves - yeah, those are states we want to keep.

And now what do we get? We're the fucking Arrogant Northeast Liberal Elite? How about this for arrogant: the South is the Real America? The Authentic America. Really?

Cause we fucking founded this country, assholes. Those Founding Fathers you keep going on and on about? All that bullshit about what you think they meant by the Second Amendment giving you the right to keep your assault weapons in the glove compartment because you didn't bother to read the first half of the fucking sentence? Who do you think those wig-wearing lacy-shirt sporting revolutionaries were? They were fucking blue-staters, dickhead. Boston? Philadelphia? New York? Hello? Think there might be a reason all the fucking monuments are up here in our backyard?

No, No. Get the fuck out. We're not letting you visit the Liberty Bell and fucking Plymouth Rock anymore until you get over your real American selves and start respecting those other nine amendments. Who do you think those fucking stripes on the flag are for? Nine are for fucking blue states. And it would be 10 if those Vermonters had gotten their fucking Subarus together and broken off from New York a little earlier. Get it? We started this shit, so don't get all uppity about how real you are you Johnny-come-lately "Oooooh I've been a state for almost a hundred years" dickheads. Fuck off.

Arrogant? You wanna talk about us Northeasterners being fucking arrogant? What's more American than arrogance? Hmmm? Maybe horsies? I don't think so. Arrogance is the fucking cornerstone of what it means to be American. And I wouldn't be so fucking arrogant if I wasn't paying for your fucking bridges, bitch.

All those Federal taxes you love to hate? It all comes from us and goes to you, so shut up and enjoy your fucking Tennessee Valley Authority electricity and your fancy highways that we paid for. And the next time Florida gets hit by a hurricane you can come crying to us if you want to, but you're the ones who built on a fucking swamp. "Let the Spanish keep it, it

  6. I watched the clip, and I think Clinton was perfectly within his rights to go off on this tool. The fact that he kept interrupting a former president probably didn't help. Can anyone here imagine doing that? Even to Dubya?

Check Wolf Blitzers interview with Bush. There were interruptions.

  7. Those were great quotes from Wallace. Clinton should have known sooner or later he was going to get some questions about all this.

Well, there were ground rules. Fifteen minutes -- half on the CGI, the Clinton Global Initiative, half on anything else.

Oh, surprise! :punch Fox news is not going to ask the same luke warm questions he would get from Larry King or Meredith Vieira.

The real question is, were Wallaces questions out of line?

" You did your nice little conservative hit job on me."

"And you came here under false pretenses and said that you

  8. Excellent show! Thanks for the link.

This was an impressive display of talent. Not only by M but also the band. TWO drummers that played together but also switched between the ukulele and xylophone/vibraphone? The rhythm guitar player and bass player also switched between instruments throughout the show.

Matt on the Rhodes was cool as shit. He stood up there with his DeArmond(I had no idea thats what he played) swung around his back and his fingers tickled the keys.

I would have taken another 30 minutes though. Solace had mentioned he played for almost 2 hours in MN. :(

One last observation: "Get Rhythm" blew me away! I almost shit when the frat boys beside me yelled it out and M started acknowledging their request. There are a lot of words in that song and I'm not sure Matt missed a single one.

Before Matt went on I noticed he was at the soundboard (he floated all through the club without being noticed by many folks. Wearing glasses and a hat.) and then shortly after that the background music started. I noticed it was The Carter Family. I can't help but think this is one of the reasons I am drawn to his music. If he is influenced by The Carters music (which so many artists before him were) it would only make sense. Theirs is a timeless music and the more I hear from M the more I think his is too.

Some people have made mention of the comparisons between Bob Dylan and M Ward but when I put together his pre-show music (I assume its his choice) and the "Get Rhythm" cover (along with other observations of his music) I think a closer comparison may be Johnny Cash........ :shifty I guess thats more than one observation..... Fantastic show and if M Ward is within a 300 mile radius I would recommend seeing him. You wont be disappointed.

Thanks to M and his band!
