Thanks again, everyone!
We're safely in Pennsylvania now.
It's definitely not San Diego.

Thanks everyone! It's been good. I'm flying across the country tomorrow to get married on 4/18. Woot!
-
Yeah, definitely looking forward to this.

Fatal Wound, too, if that's pedal steel in the song.

What's crazy?

I was referring to Jim getting mugged. I meant "crazy" as in something I can't wrap my brain around. Poor Jim. Such a nice guy, too.

Wow, awesome! Congrats!
Please join me in a hearty round of applause for my 22-yr-old son Thomas, who got word today that he has been accepted into Graduate School at UC Riverside, in neuroscience. It's been a long, hard haul, but he's made his family very proud and has clearly impressed the admissions people, who accepted him with open arms and the Dean's High Honor Fellowship, which I have probably misremembered the name of (but that's close).Tom's overjoyed....neuroscience is his passion. He wants to go into research, and I have every confidence that he will be brilliant at it.
So a celebration is in order....virtual champagne is on VC! Those of you wishing to wear lampshades and fake-grass-hula-skirts will find them free of charge in the lobby. :banana Table dancing is heartily encouraged, and there are many virtual good things to eat and drink in the big party room at the back! Anyone showing proof of a graduate degree is invited to leap into the vat of pudding to be found directly adjacent to the jello shots booth! (Please, bring your own towels.)
Come! Celebrate!!!!! YAY TOM!!!!!

The best way is the DownThemAll plugin for Firefox.
-
They're charging 30 cents to remove DRM from applicable tracks.
That means that if you've spent $3,030 in the iTunes store since it opened, you'll ONLY have to pay $1,000 to get your tracks de-DRM-med!!111

I highly recommend DownThemAll. It shouldn't hurt our server to use it. It might slow down your computer, though. I think that's what A-man is saying.

Yea, I should add that I've only used XP w/ Parallels.

I use Parallels. I used it extensively while telecommuting w/ Citrix. It's pretty reliable, though I have an older version that's a bit buggy.
I also use it extensively to play SimCity2000, since it's not supported on my Intel Mac.

Jackson's in fine health, just like Paul Newman.

Most of the offers that I get to see shows are in Southern California.
But yea, I'm a geographite. It's better than getting geolead poisoning, though.

Hunter's OK in my book. He wrote pretty much all of the best Dead songs: Ripple, St. Stephen, Dupree, Dire Wolf, Bertha, Loser, Wharf Rat, Jack Straw, Box of Rain, Scarlet Begonias, Mission in the Rain (and many more). I saw him live/solo/acoustic once. It was great.
It is kind of weird that Hunter was involved lyrically with 9 of 10 songs, though. The thing about Dylan these days is that he is the lyrics, and not much else, as far as I can tell.
That said, the lyrics on Modern Times were kind of banal, so a fresh pen might not hurt.
