  1.

    What, what, what?

Did he say "this is for Sarah" or "this is for the girl with the sign"? EIther way, it's pretty cool. I love that song and was so glad to hear it at Merriweather.

I was a couple rows back from you as i saw your sign. and he said "This one is for Sarah C"

oh and for the record i'm down with California Stars. I actually like Hate it Here too but rather it not be en encore song.

  2. He played it on a few songs. Impossible GErmany for sure because i remember the tone being off and I wondered why he was using a les paul instead of the jazz master. It was afer that when JEff introduced the "special guest" with them and explained Nels was playing his guitar.

I know he palyed it on at least one song before that (maybe ashes as suggested) and i'm pretty sure a song during the encore too.

  3. I just wanted to give a shout out to the girls in the last row of the front section of orchestra in the middle Row D you were a little ways down from me and one row behind me. You talked a lot and did not care that people shhhed you and gave you stares. You were really bothersome during black moon and the soft parts of via chicago. Also bad during one sunday morning. If you were t here because yoru bf's/ husbands brought you next time please tell them kindly you don't want to go.

by theend of the night ilooked back and at least two of you were pretty much passed out/asleep and seemed not to give a damn at all throughout the entire show.

If you read this i'll be amazed because you seemed not to be a fan of the band at all.

  4. Cobb is a great venue if you are thinking about going you should go. I was up in the way top for the Decemberest when they played and for being way backt hey were still good seats.

Plus its wilco you know its gonna rock.

Last nights show was fun hoping tonights is even better though. Jeff did ask folks to come back and said they were gonna play more different songs tomorrow (tonight now)

  5. I think i only saw one Bull Black Nova mention.

I was a little surprised i thougth that song was more liked in the wilco community. Its one of my favs. I guess they have so many great songs it is tough to make an allmighty setlist with everything.

  6. I want to get tickets to both atlanta shows. it says not to make multiple purchases or they will become invalid Will i be able to or will it consider me getting tickets for the other show "going back and making multiple" purchases. Will i be okay if they are for two different shows?

sorry if thats a stupid question i'm just parinoid

  7. I w0s just standing 2 feet away from the master in Hollywood Florida at a LincVolt Press conference before his show tonight at the Hard Rock. It was sick.....I will post some pix later. The man is a world treasure. I had goose bumps standing that close to him.......Rock on.

    That is really cool.

I have not heard the new album but i saw the tour this past summer and noticed a lot of similar songs. I enjoyed them on the tour and i'm looking forward to hearing them on the album.

If nothing else it will hopefully produce a good studio version of hitchhiker. Surely that is soemthing everyone can be happy about. Right?

  8. that's too bad. looking at the setlist, i think it's pretty solid, but i've been a fan of theirs for 20 years. it wasn't a "greatest hits" setlist by any means, though. i wish you would've had a better time.

Set List: Wash, Hail Hail, Corduroy, Got Some, In Hiding, World Wide Suicide, Force Of Nature, Immortality, Go, Even Flow, Army Reserve, Unthought Known, Daughter/WMA, Sleight Of Hand, Johnny Guitar, Do The Evolution, The Fixer, Why Go

1st encore: Just Breathe, Given To Fly, Leash, Porch

2nd encore: Wasted Reprise, Life Wasted, Black, The Real Me (Townshend), Smile, Alive, Indifference

If i went to a pj show and that was my setlist i would be so fucking happy.

All except for Johnny guitar. I can't stand that song otherwise a lot of real gems

  9. What is everyone's thoughts on the new album? After a couple of spins on the record player, I am really digging this record. 'All To All' is the standout track for me so far, I think...

I'll have to get back to you.

I just picked it up yesterday. First spin was promising though

  10. My first wilco show was at the fox 6 years ago (maybe 5 i'm not sure). Last friday was my 5th time seeing the band and probably my favorite.

I loved the evening with feel. The way poor places deconstructed into the wonderful acoustic set and how airplane to heavan lifted things back off into the "plugged in set".

I loved the acoustic spiders and casino queen having never heard those songs like that before it was a great treat.

The sing along for most of Jesus Etc was really cool. From handshake drugs forward the band just seemed to be on fire.

Great show although I don't get how some folks come to the show and chit chat through it or leave to go to the restroom when SPIDERS comes on?!?

    thats just me though.

I was 4 rows back in front of nels (4 rows behind the pit that is)

Great time and great show by the band. I loved the ending but i was hoping for one or two more as I so wanted to hear monday, but it was all good.

  11. Leaving out for Atlanta in 20 minutes!!!! :w00t can't believe the day is finally here!!!

This will be the longest work day ever. I have to work till at least 5pm. Then go home and change and jump on Marta. Get some food and then into the venue.

come 8pm though everything will be just fine :)

  12. I may be biased because i am a very big pearl jam fan but i do think Ten was a pretty amazing album.

I would say wilco's Yankee hotel foxtrot is as well.

Radiohead's ok computer althoug electioneering is a little weak

neal youngs after the gold rush

  13. I agree it is not in neil's nature to slow down but i wish at this point of his career he could. when he was younger and the creative juices were flowing it made sense.

Now we get stuff like Fork in the Road.....

I think he could still make good albums if he was more purposeful with his writing, but he has never done it that way and it is probably asking too much for him to do it now.

  14. Very stoked about Atlanta, tickets go on sail tomorrow. Wilco in March, MMJ in April.. Can't beat that.

Anyone ever been to Chastain in Atlanta? Although it seats 7k, it looks fairly small from the pictures.

I have seen Neil Young, Bob Dylan, and Wilco at Chastain before. It is good. It can have a reputation of having a snooty crowd. The two older shows (young and dylan) I saw there the crowd did reflect that somewhat, but i don't think the older season ticket holders were tehre when i saw wilco because that was not the case. I feel MMJ will be the same way as wilco.

Unfortunately you can sometimes bring in coolers of booze or wine, but this show is a non cooler show.

It is a nice little outside amptheatre usually good acoustics and not really a bad seat.

I'm in the orchestra section row B seats 106-110. If you are near say hi :)

  15. I got Row D for the Fox in Atlanta.

I screwed up i had pit seats and for soem reason i thought they were up top in the mezzanine so iwent back and got more tickets and when i did they were not pit seats.

    d'oh!

oh well I'm happy to have tickets.

    Cost was 35 dollars

13.50 service fee for three tickets

I chose ground ups delivery for 8.50

total cost 127 for 3 tickets. not bad
