A bit obvious, but honestly I had zero interest in this until I saw the film, not bad, also reminds me to lighten up a bit, even though sometimes EV's voice I feel limits him, and please that's not to say he can't sing, but secretly I've always felt it held PJ back a little, I mean, he has a certain sound, a sound that I normally relate to angst high school/college (I know terrible stereotype), but after falling off and not hearing much of the newer PJ stuff, this I find to be completely fresh, inspiring and true. I really enjoyed this movie, maybe a bit biased towards it, but I think everyone would enjoy this. Not perfect, but still pretty damn good. SUNDAY: After thinking about thisfor much of the night, and reading more about it, I'd have to just say, I loved it. Especially the style, in this day and age, its extremly difficult to find a new image, you really have to throw the mold into the sky and shoot it like skeet. Worthy of a theater experience, uneven, but still startling in many moments, and a solid cast, obviously Casey Affleck to take the cake, and Roger Deakins (DP) knocks it out again, beautiful imagery, shot to perfection. Prolly the uneveness of the film will divide everyone the most, it is long, but again not without some wonderful moments. Slow pace, lingering scenes, and at times an unbalanced script, but I would still say see it, and wonder on the fact and ficiton of this tale.

Prolly a touch to gangsta for most, but you can not argue that this isn't one of the best rap albums ever, and holds up amazingly well.
