I'm on a Mac too, use Firefox and just keep trying. It took me a while to get through.

I wonder if they will practice any of the songs for the Chicago show in Madison?
-
If I can get some extra money by then, I might go. If they had Jeff play at their auditorium, I would be there in a second. That place is great.
-
I forgot about that. I guess it would really cool if they broadcast it over the web.
-
Just curious, if people aren't going to the show, why are you requesting songs?
-
I have seen a lot of Wilco shows recently that say, "no professional cameras". Venues generally say professional is anything with a removable lens.
-
I think the smaller the group of people making the requests, the more likely you are to get rarities (check out the setlists from some of the Living Room Shows). But when you open it up to the whole world, people who don't see Wilco on a regular basis, or who haven't ever seen them live, are more likely than the "hardcore" fans to think along the lines of "I'd really love to hear Shot in the Arm". So if they just take the songs with the highest total number of votes, you might end up with a pretty bland setlist.
I think that is why they asked for the reason why you picked a song, to see if a person writes, "because it's a good song" or something more in dept. I think people are getting way too picky about the songs selection here, we should be grateful they are doing something like this.

I wonder how they will pick what songs to play. I am guessing it has something to do with the 'why did you pick this song' question, but still wondering....

no ability to request mag called sunset? poop.
Dude, it's on there, under 'M'.
-
I guess they must have read my thread.....
-
They don't have my request of "When The Roses Bloom Again". Damn. "Panthers" also seems to be missing. Oh well, this is still very cool of them to do.
edit. Thanks for adding it sir! (you know who you are)

Holy crap! This is awesome!!!! And yes, I am also getting a error message.
-
Also, don't some of the El's stop running at 1am?
-
So what's to stop people from standing up above the side and looking down?

Chicago parks are open from 6am -11pm, including Millennium Park. I don't know if there is a exception for Pritzker Pavilion or not.

I cannot answer in this thread until after 9/12 because that will be my first show. And in Chicago no less. I did see Glenn solo in Tucson, AZ a few months ago. Does that count? That was freaking amazing!
-
I believe he said yes in another thread.

My brother wanted me to post a link to his photos. Some digital, some film. Enjoy.

I got my TIX. YES! Thanks to this board, I got them at face value. I will be sitting in section 202 row 00. I hear its good seats anywhere. I am now officially gonna start getting excited. See all you there.
Yes, the whole place looks great.
I checked out my seats today since I was strolling through the park. Things look fun!Must be the new hip thing to do.
I just did that last night.

That sounds good. I wonder what Wilco's version would sound like.

My brother drove from Phoenix to photograph the show. He said the show was amazing and he will have a link with the photos in a day or two. In the mean time, here is one of his.
His site: http://www.exhalestudios.net/indexold.html (no wilco photos yet, just glenn)

I can't wait for 9/12
Me too.
I went there today and found my seats. It's close to the stage, on an aisle, and near the restrooms.

However, if you are in Chicago, there is a preseason Bears game on NBC tonight at 7 PM. It is scheduled to go 3 hours followed by local news and Leno. The last couple of games have gone roughly 3 hours 15 minutes, then the local news is shown in its entirety. So for Chicago Wilco fans watching on DVR, I would add at least 30 minutes to the end of your recording, 1 hour to be safe.
Thanks for the advice dude!
I would have been pissed if my DVR cutout early.
Various Wilco Demos, Downloads, Etc.

I don't know the date when the demos were recorded, but do have some info that might be helpful. I think Glenn unofficially joined Wilco in Dec. of 2000 and officially shortly after. I assume he was there for the demos because of the song, "Not For The Season". In Dec. 2000 when Glenn played with Jeff (I believe for the first time), they came up with what we now know as "Laminated Cat" (Not For The Season) with the Loose Fur sounding percussion, not the stuff on the demos. However, even though the percussion sounds different on the demos, I think when Jeff and Glenn played it in Chicago (Dec '00), it was the first time he/they played that song. Hope that makes sense.
