this is awesome, an entire thread where people actually are appreciating agib. im not saying it's their best... but to me all the wilco albums are very close in greatness. i am so sick of people ripping apart either agib and/or the new material... this is a band that we all love, thats why we come to this site. i know that we have the right as loyal fans to hold opinions on the band's material, but it just seems like people love to tear apart a lot of the band's recent music. so, here's to agib (and the new material for that matter).

I really don't mind Billy Bragg too much and the dvd as a whole was interesting at first because I learned a lot about Woddy Guthrie, but then it started to drag on. I didn't watch past the recording scenes... maybe one day i'll finish it.

Big thanks to the person who uploaded the FLAC copy! The song has a bit of a Panthersesque, dad-rock vibe 'til it makes its way to the solo, where it becomes Nels's greatest contribution to Wilco. Seriously. Wow. I hope they tweak up the verses a bit and blow this fucker up on the next record. Overall I'd say it's the first "capital-G Great" song of the half-dozen or so new ones they've been playing.

Go right to the b7, don't play the b first. Ive been playing this song for a long time and that's the correct way. If you ever need more help with this song I know it in and out...
