  1. I couldn't leave until the auction closed and I transfered ownership, now could I? I was wondering when the auction closes and I transfer the keys to you would you be willing to make a side deal for the babaoriley name?

btw, did you know my kid has more posts on VC than you :whoo they're structured a little better too :hmm ....you should work on that if you're going to do the gershon name justice dude. geez, he's tied up in school all day, but maybe spawn could be the new dred pirate roberts and I can stick around VC. !!! maybe (like steven segal) I could pay someone to recognize him as a tulku and I can ship him off to a monastery in dharamsala.

    I got stuff to do

  2. My Friends,

It's been a wild and wacky three years. When I first discovered VC I was

winding down my business and setting out on a course of extended

unemployment and thankless jobs. By the good grace of fortune I fell into a

special opportunity that's enormously dear to my heart. In the past year

though that opportunity has begun to take more and more time, and now I

really have little personal recreation time. As you've all seen Spawn has

grown by leaps and bounds. Before I know it my little guy will be off to

college, or worse High School :shudder

The upshot of it all is that I spend less time with him than I had and so

other recreational enjoyments necessarily fall out of my life. He and I

spend more time hiking and biking and camping and ultimately the boy's

personal maturation and enjoyment of the universe is what's most important

    to me.

I've made some dear dear friends here, several of whom I trust will be

lifelong companions. VC is a wonderful place and it's heart warming to see

the community continue to thrive with new people continually arriving at its

door. It seemed to me that instead of letting all the fun die out or killing

it off it would be far more organic to let another pick up the mantle while

they're able, and then pass it off to another. Like with the Karmapa or the

Pope things would continue to stay vibrant and alive in the wilco fan base

as we support the band through their second decade of bringing us music

    to influence our lives.

I look forward to seeing the continued growth and success of the community.

    opportunity

    best wishes,

    Gershon

  3. not sure that there is a 'his point of view.' no one ever determined if that was or wasn't thax. i think that thread ended up being 400 pages. search the archives...it would probably make a better read....the original usually does.
