  1. Hey all...I haven't posted here for years.  I am completely blown away by this album though and felt like I needed to yell it out to people who may understand...

I think this is his best work since YHF. I said it.

Unbelievable set of songs, all of them amazing...the songwriting is freaking amazing.

Even though it maybe does not sound like it, it gives me the FEEL of Being There..Summerteeth...the nostalgic..poppy..folksy sounds (with some darkness in between the lines) that I have missed for so long...

Anyway, I think this album is the real deal, good job Tweedy.  Can't get enough of it..have not been this excited about a new album for awhile.

  2. I think it is a below average release for them, but everything they had put out until now has been great...

There are a couple of amazing tracks on this one, and the album starts off strong...but there are just one too many forgettable tracks here. Turning the Century is an amazing song though...my favorite on the album.

I really don't like Heavy Light, Big Girl, Warrior Man, and Do the Trick...they don't really bring anything new to the table and are kind of bland in my opinion.

'That Old Black Hole', 'Over Here, Over There', and 'Turning the Century' are the standouts for me so far..

Overall I give it a 6/10. Definitely their weakest yet. Still love them.

  3. I hate doing this, and I apologize because I know a lot of you guys don't like to compare this type of shit. But both songs are fantastic, and I think they are similar. I asked a few of my friends and it was pretty much split, and I wanted to see what the forum likes better.

if i HAD to choose, Id go Kamera.

  4. it's good, but not as good as Fate.

hm, for me it goes Easy Beat>We All Belong>Shame, Shame>Fate

    Mirror Mirror>Unbearable why>Where'd ALl the time go>Stranger>Only wear blue>someday>Station>Shame,Shame>Later>Shadow People>Jackie Wants a Black Eye

Jackie is the only song I really don't care for.

  6. Here's how i was thinking it might play out, seeing as i was pretty sure Trinity did something before heading off into the sunset in his mustang...

Dexter wakes up from his concussion from the first (?) episode of this season. He's by the side of the road, having been thrown from his vehicle. Who is there when he opens his eyes? Trinity. Now Dexter has all the knowledge of what he thinks happened over the last several months, but it has only been a few minutes. He has no idea what is real. Is Trinity a serial killer, or a just a dude who stopped by the side of the road? Maybe too farfetched but Rita being dead in the bathtub and harrison sitting in a pool of blood (not even near the bathtub, btw) was a little too trite for me!

I like your thinking, this could make for a really fucked up/trippy fifth season. I also thought the whole thing with Harrison sitting in a pool of blood seemed like Dexter's nightmare than actual reality. It was a great season overall though.

  7. That whole Thanksgiving scene with Trinity was fantastic. I thought everyone did a great job and it kind of felt twilight zone-esque.

The whole thing with the daughter was especially weird when Dex was talking to her outside.

  8. I was looking up movie times and this came up on one of the theaters near me:

Glenn Beck's Christmas Sweater: A Return to Redemption

    What the fuck is this?

I googled it and didn't get too far, didn't try to hard, hoping somebody here could explain this.

    edit: Found this

what a joke, is this shit serious? who is going to see this? It looks extremely lame, how does he have the balls to bullshit so much?

    Last edit:

I don't know what pisses me off more: him or the peoplee who buy into all of his nonsense and can't see that he is a douchebag bullshitter.
