  1. Why pay Dylan style ticket prices to see Kings of Leon?

oh i agree, I think i made that point also: you could always see kings of leon on their own.. but in the hypothetical world of "who should we see"... i think the logistics would be a bit off but in a perfect world.

  2. Go to Petty!! He may return but it might not be the rockin' petty show it is now... I Petty a month ago in chicago and it was an amazing show... The only reason I would lean towards dylan is because the kings of leon are opening, but you could just as easily go to one of their shows. I'm a huge dylan fan but his shows are a waste, i walked out on a dylan show at the auditorium theatre about a year ago... just terrible, that being said it was still worth it to say i had seen bob dylan, same for petty but much better show...

plus petty is playing all his hits and only a song or two from the new album each night, and theyre still good songs... Good points made by everyone else too, dylan tours a ton... i like the busting out after kings of leon idea.

  3. I read that a few people also got taken into back rooms and harassed by security

yup, ive been there... security there are assholes.. i only go when i can manage vip passes/all you can drink

so true... aragons for teenybopper shows

  4. Yea don't get me wrong id much rather see them at the vic - thats a near holy experience - but the last few shows at the auditorium have been rockin'... for some of us diehards who have seen them in real intimate settings, sure its not the same, but it still beats the majority of rock shows out there... as long as you dont get stuck up in that balcony that sent tweedy into rehab the following day then ur cool

  5. hey i know im late on this but yes, play the vic.. and chicago gets so much tweedy/wilco... they couldnt play there because of that stupid lolla thing saying bands couldnt perform in chicago if they were playing the festival but tweedy played the abbey, and mandel hall at u of c, and wilco played up at summerfest which basically counts

  6. yea im waiting on the itunes store to come with some more... matisyahu, kanye, wilco, ben kweller, matt costa... not the our record label pushed really hard for us to be on itunes bands

thanks a lot for posting that tho

  7. I was wondering if anyone has the lolla show in some kind of musical format, not the dvd.. specifically wilco but actually from any other bands?? Im trying to make a mix from that magical weekend... i also know its on largeheartedboy but I have unsuccesfully tried for about 6 months to get a dimeadozen account and have been unsuccesful... but basically id appreciate any help with compiling some stuff and would be more than willing to help share what i gather :thumbup

  8. Of course they wouldnt be at lollapalooza and we wouldnt be discussing them if they weren't but aside from 10 year old voices which can most definitley be excused, they play pretty tightly together and it sounded good. Plus we got to meet Jeff which was pretty neat.

  9. im gonna say all of YHF except for heavy metal drummer which just clicked, walken at first which i now love... and im surprised by so many theologians the first time i heard it i was blown away after bein away from wilco for a bit and everyone else ive passed it onto felt the same way

  10. so is there really one from kicking television that maybe is floating around there, that was an extra buying it through a certain service? was leaked? is there more music out there from that stand? or a viachicago inside joke???

sorry also, good version from 96 but i was actually looking for the new one?? anyone??
