Listened to it all day.
Take late IRS era REM and toss in newer Bruce Cockburn.
Seriously, album has that feel.
-
Skip,
recheck the forum link before you get killed with PM's.
Why? I just checked over there and the only link to the songs
is the one first posted here and songs are removed.
Yes, songs show linked on the blog but are not there.
Maybe you found another source in the forums, did you?

What drugs are you taking with your breakfast?
48 oz of coffee & 1200mg Bee Pollen...9 hours till smoke break.
-
As long as Neal Casal is in the picture, they will stay true to form ie. "Cold Roses".
I can't wait for the new album and a tour.
-
Good Damn Morning !!!
Best breakfast in a while and give me "sketchy territory" anyday.
"Either Way", what can one say...ya know I'm not a big Trey A., the
Phish dude fan but know a good bit of his music and hear alot of Trey
(mainly in arraignment) hear.
Not real excited with "Walken"...wheres my bass?
Have a KIND day folks.

Sarah, I live down in Dalton, GA.
I think we may emailed back-forth last year..perhaps I may have offered
you a ticket and/or even a ride to a Wilco show, Huntsville?
Anywho, I get to R&Brews a good bit. Actually will be there tonight for
The TN Rounders and the Johnny Cash Birthday Bash. The Rounders
are a great band, get out on the town tonight.
-
In Chattanooga there was a bar/restaurant place called The Sandbar.
Lots of great bands would play the lower level which was nothing more than
a covered, yet open patio/deck area looking out to the TN River.
Well, Ace came into town (I guess @ '96) and was so loud the folks living way across the river
finally had enough. The Sandbar had to enclose the lower level to absorb the
sound. The place was never the same and is now the home of The Boathouse.

Jay, correct and removed pretty fast.
Not sure when it was posted but received an email
link just 15 minutes ago with it.
Might as well make it KISS thread now, lol.
-
Admit it, some of y'all like me
were in KISS Army back in the day, lol.
Paul Daniel Frehley, aka Ace Frehley (born April 27, 1951, died February 22, 2007) is an American guitarist best known as a founding member and lead guitarist for the rock band Kiss. Frehley played with the group from its inception in 1973 until his departure in 1982.
Death
In what appears to be an apparent suicide, musician Ace Frehley was pronounced dead as a result of cardiac arrest after consuming more than two-dozen sleeping pills. Complete details are not yet available, as this story is still developing.

Seems wikipedia gets updated with "breaking news" more often than the real news outlets
get a hold of it lately.

Thoughts of G.G. Allin.

What a sweet venue in NYC.
I too will not miss the ATL show, Good Times indeed.
-
I live about 2 hours (non-ROO traffic) and went to #1-#3,
The last one I saw (#3) will be the last one I see, LOL.
Go for the party not the music is the number one rule.
It simply isn't worth it. Take your top 3-5 bands you will
want to see there...now take the fact each will have a crowd
about 5-8x more people than would "normally"
be at th bands show(s).
Nope not me again. I'm a festival go-er, tenting when I must but this is by far a
"music festival". Save ya cash, insanity, etc. and catch some up close music
this summer.

To each their own.
I dig RA's material, and especially the past few year's live shows
with the Cards. IMO, he is a great songwriter.
As far as the 8-10 "albums" on the website......HUMOR and having a
Good Time doing so. He hasn't taken much of the industry seriously
and it shows with these tunes. Keep on doing what ya do Ryan.
He may not be a "prolific" writer or I guess I mean ...some have stated
he is in a creative phase...I do like the fact he tosses new songs out there
live all the time. Many times written the night before, heck toss it out there
and see where it may go. Some work, some don't.
IMO, it's a refreshing change of pace from some bands (performers) who are
overly meticulous with song structure and presentation before putting it out there
for us.
I saw the 2 back-to-back RA & The Cards shows at The Tab in ATL last year. No songs repeated
and each night the "feel" of the performance were totally different. I would like to have
a little more of the attitude with another of my favorite bands.

Crowjack, great idea but save time and simply buy three cd's ....a Bread, Air Supply, and
Christopher Cross.
-
LOL, Journey had a few.
How about simply cheezy love lyrics?
Rio Speedwagon's "Keep On Loving You"
"You should've known by the tone of my voice, maybe
But you didn't listen
You played dead, but you never bled,
Instead you lay still in the grass, all coiled up and hissing"
John Meyer's "Wonderland"
"One mile to every inch of
Your skin like porcelain
One pair of candy lips and
Your bubblegum tongue."
ELP's "Still You Turn Me on"
"When you're buried in disguise
By the dark glass on your eyes
Though your flesh has crystallized;
Still...you turn me on.
Every day a little sadder,
A little madder,
Someone get me a ladder."
and my absolute Fav/worse lyric of any kind, all the time goes to.....
(drumroll)
Bon Jovi's "Never Say Goodbye"
Remember when we used to park
On butler street out in the dark
Remember when we lost the keys
And you lost more than that in my backseat

I've heard most all the songs via live shows and look forward to hearing the
how they came out via studio. Also looking forward to her spring tour.

I was turned on by Tne Whigs last year when I was handed their cd from a friend.
I haven't seen them live but look forward to it this spring. I was glad to find myself sitting
next to a fellow Whigs fan at the Wilco-Huntsville show last year so I know we are out there.
