  1. Man, that sounds like it was even better. Jeff must really be best buds with Fred Armisen (I also remember hearing "I'm Always in Love" intro-ing a skit he was in this past season of SNL).
  2. Huzzah for Arrested Development pride! I'd die if David Cross ever opened for Wilco.
  3. Did anyone else notice how all of the male event staff were incredibly rude assholes, half of which looked like they had been picked up on the streets an hour before the show? My friends and I went up through the woods during Wilco's soundcheck and stood perpendicular to the stage at the fence just watching (not yelling, making noise, trying to climb over, etc.), and some jerk with five ear piercings sneared, "You guys better get the f*** out of here or the guards will kick you out of the park." We had seen a woman sitting in the food tent who smiled at us and another Wilco-related gent who
  4. Man, was that amazing. Absolutely the best show, Wilco or otherwise, that I've ever attended or ever will attend. I was right in front of the stage near Pat and my friends and I tried to give him a couple CD's of our band (cough www.myspace.com/gearsmusic cough), and although he kindly told us to put them down next to his pedals, we didn't see them get picked up by anyone. Oh well... Here are the links for a bunch of the pictures that I took (there are a few awesome ones of Pat): http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v412/wee...06/2d1d60ec.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v412/wee...
  5. I saw the New Pornos back in February when they came to Boston with Belle & Sebastian. I was ready to give my left hand for tickets to that one; I'd have gladly given everything I own to go to this show. Awesome pics!
  6. In case no one else has made the connection, Morgan Taylor (aka Gustafer Yellowgold) has recently been the bassist for Autumn Defense. I wish I had known who the heck he was before going to the show because I would've been a bit more interested. I took as many pictures until my camera's memory card filled up and wasn't harrassed by any staff. The problem with the venue is that (as one might expect) it's primarily for theatre productions and symphonies, and the other night's show was probably their first "rock" show and these dunces didn't understand that the same rules didn't apply. It wa
  7. And of course there was a pretty distinct mic by the sound board. Sunset made my night, though I was hoping for some AM lovin' especially since some of the relatively recent setlists had a few from back then. At least one other gentleman shared my sentiments when he kept shouting out "CASINO QUEEEEEEEEN!" and "GOTTA BOX FULLA LETTERS!!!" Amazing show. I'm starting to get the feeling that Jeff is trying to become the next Bono with his singing for world peace and urge to make everything better... PS: I'll never forget Gustafer Yellowgold. The most ridiculous thing I've ever seen, and w
