    Just finished American Pastoral by P Roth and began my voyage on Game of Thrones. Haven't read much fantasy of late, but looking forward to diving in and then watching the series as i finish each book.

     

    This should hold me over until well after Franzen's new book drops.

    A Song of Ice and Fire is great. So much more than the HBO show suggests.

    I don't understand why this show has disappeared. It's almost like it never existed. Same goes for Sunday Night/Night Music. Those shows had some of the best live music programming ever seen in the USA.

    Yeah, I wish there was live music TV. Seems like all we have now is Later with Jools Holland (which is pretty awesome BTW).

    Early favorite song: Pickled Ginger.  

     

    Because it sounds like someone just bought a cool new effects pedal and is just grooving with it.

     

    I also wanted to make a Led Zeppelin 'In the Evening' comparison, but I think I will pass.

    Just finished season 1 of True Detective.  Amazing.  Loved Mcconaughey's acting throughout.  And Woody was really good too.  Looking forward to actually watching season 2 as it happens.

    Season 2 is good, not great so far (we are at the halfway point).
