  1. Thanks to the Colonel, I've got seats to Charleston (I'll trade you GTL for row 4 :D); will be in 4th row at Cary (Nels' side), and have 2nd row Loge seats for Jacksonville. Three incredible days I'm eagerly looking forward to.

My pleasure. I feel like a ticket broker. The original, GTC last row pair, I sold to... aw hell, I forget your name!, the GTL pair to you and the ORCH D to me! I got 7th row Orch. for Jax on the presale then gave it another shot and snagged 1st row so I sold the original to my pal in Tally. Ellsworth's Southeastern Wilco Ticket Shop!

  2. At the time, I definitely expressed my view long and hard on the Charleston/SNL affair. Ever since seeing the 3 Pageant shows, though, I have been eagerly awaiting the make-up date. Especially since I improved my seats from the very last row in the balcony to row 'D' in the ORCH, thanks to someone returning their tickets to Ticketmaster!

I got out the feelings that I felt were legitimate and moved on. Now I am moving towards Jacksonville and Charleston in less than 5 weeks. :hyper

But... if you had the original SC tix and are unable to make the rescheduled date, I totally understand your feelings of being :hump

  3. On the flight from Tampa to St. Louis to see the 3 Pageant shows, I had on the Wiilco shirt. The guy sitting behind measks if I am going to see them and we started a conversation. It turns out that he is Keith Voegele's dad heading to catch the BRox show on Saturday. We talked about the Bottle Rockets and he asked if Keith would know me. I said that he won't know my name but tell him you met the guy from the Tampa show with the "Fuck Uncle Tupelo" T shirt. He'll know me becuase he and Brian commented on it and Brian started telling a hilarious UT anecdote.

  4. That '68 campaign didn't even really start until March, which is when LBJ dropped out and RFK threw his hat in. The timeframe for the nomination process was totally different then. Even if that's all Hillary meant (and though that was of course the main point, I'm still not at all convinced that she did not purposely evoke the assassination), it's still a misleading comparison.

I get no respect. See page 37.

    :lol

  5. I love riding. I cannot recommend anything because I ride a cheap, old hybrid that I bought used to replace my quality bike that was stolen. I am an urban rider. We ride to the movies, the pub, out to eat, the river, the park, the port, etc. Sometimes we will ride the trail at the water pumping station outside of town - deer, wild turkey and other wildlife - very cool or the Pinellas Trail, a converted railroad. We used to ride off-road through the woods in a county park but my bike is too crap for that now1 Sorry that I have no advice, I just love riding!

  6. willywoody, an opener that you disapprove of amounts to you being 'royally screwed' by Wilco? Just a tad hyperbole and retro-anger, perhaps? I don't think anyone complained more than I did about the SNL deal but come on!

And this is neither here nor there but after 3 nights of the Retribution Gospel Choir, I'll welcome Bon Iver with open arms.

  7. Was there some significance to the band playing Misunderstood all three nights? I seem to remember there was a bit of criticism directed at the band not playing STL enough. Wasn't there some preposterous open letter to the band in a newspaper?

Yeah. I posted that stupid letter from the Riverfront Times several months ago. I didn't think about 3 Misunderstoods meaning anything. Who knows?
