my dad also just told me that he'll send me the original copies he has, which is cool. i have no qualms with dishing out the money for this set, though.

one of my plans has always been to incorporate lines from songs that mean a lot to me into my tattoos. i haven't gotten a wilco one yet, but plan to. i do have lines from a beatles song and a pearl jam song, though. others in the works include neil young and bob dylan.

the a's pitching staff has been flat out getting it done lately.

The Raconteurs album was great. It had a very Lennon/McCartney feel, with Jack's kind of bitter side meshing well with Brandon's sugary sweet pop.

 

But the White Stripes > The Raconteurs. The Raconteurs are awesome, but the White Stripes rules ass.

i've been digging the new album quite a bit. a ton really. "Conquest" is a bit out there, but the horns in it work really well, imo. and "St. Andrew" feels very Velvet Underground-esque, to me. anyway, can't wait for the album, the three versions of the single, and my copy of NME with the 7" to show up.
