Wow, I haven't seen these before... and I had always assumed that the video or visual aspect of the show didn't turn out so hot ... but seeing that footage, clearly the shows kicked television ass. Was it ever made clear as to why they shelved the DVD release? It's really going to be buried treasure in years to come when they eventually dig it back out for Anthologies and whatnots isn't it.

I'll be back at the Enmore tonight! (saw Ray Davies last night) ... if you see an asian guy with a Dylan shirt, say hello.

I've received an email from them, saying that they failed to process credit card orders for 4th of dec to 10th of dec, and my order fell within this period. It seems like my CC hasnt been charged yet, so I'm supposedly needing to order it again... kinda surprised no one else has gotten the same email? And others are actually getting their tickets? Little paranoid/concerned here.

Just came across some info that claims it only has 2MB sample memory. That's very tiny, and as great as the rest of the concept is, at its intended price range, that might not actually do for me, then... (which is thankful really...)

Wow! That was something I've waited for, for a long time... for Clavia to do Mellotron sounds on one of their boards. It was one of the few things missing on the Electro or Stage. This sounds incredible, and the things it can do to the sample is really out there. Unfortunately, i"ve already splurged on a board with sampler to play Mellotron sounds. I guess the one question is how big the sample memory is. But wow, it really seems like the perfect thing I was looking for about 6 months ago... doh!

I've played an Electro a number of times, and they are great. Especially with the added bonus of being one of the more portable keyboards out there, it does excellent emulations of Wurlitzers, Rhodes, Clavinet (think intro to "Monday") and Hammond organ. There are other keyboards out there which does similar things though, and some better, some just as well but slightly different... but the Electro is a really well designed, tasteful board. Downsides... no actual drawbars for the organ (to slide in and out physically... instead, you use buttons - which ain't quite the same, you can't blind

The Kurzweil is actually an excellent emulation, if you have the Classic Keys ROM expansion. In fact, I think Mikael was using a K2600 with the ROM for most live Wilco gigs (around the time of YHF and most of the AGIB tours) prior to his acquiring or adopting the Nord Electro/Stage (which he seems to use these days). Wurlies and Rhodes... apples and oranges. Both are good at what they are.

I have heard and read that Jeff and Jay wrote that song in that age old method of "I have a chorus, you've got a verse - let's put it together" but I had never confirmed who wrote which. Not meaning to doubt you in any way, but I'm just curious - where did you find out that Jay wrote the chorus? I would say that the song definitely sounds a lot like him in the chords and structure overall.

Were one of you guys wearing a Wilco 2003 shirt? I was at the Duke, and noticed a group of people that kept ducking out and muttering something about the Thai place

I also saw Paul Dempsey from Something For Kate and Tim Freedman from The Whitlams at the gig. I guess they mightn't have gone backstage though. Toni Collette was probably there because of support act Glenn Richards (Augie March) who apparently has been working with her on her new album. What is the secret, pray tell? Absolutely incredible gig. They've most definitely turned up the rawk this tour (or at least, this gig). And I _love_ the new songs - i've strayed away from hearing new stuff before the album comes out... but from what I heard last night, it's gonna be brilliant.

Why does a song have to be hard to listen to, to be considered creative? If it it seeming difficult to appreciate beauty or art in simple things, or in things that other people enjoy (aka popularity), then one ought to review their own perspective. I'm not picking on you, just a general message out there, and its something I think alot of people (myself included) needs to remind themselves once in awhile. I've only heard "Is That The Thanks I Get" from the new songs (i've been avoiding them on purpose, but caught that on Conan), and I'm loving The Band style vibe. You know that Dylan/Young/B
