  1. the amp has two 12at7 tubes. one closest to the power tubes and one second to last in the direction away from the power tubes. would one of these be more likely to cause the problem than the other...? maybe I could try switching those two tubes and see what happens? am i in danger of damaging my amp at all if i play it like this for a few hours?
  2. it was a floor model. so Guitar Center should probably give me a new tube for free right? thanks for the help. i figured it might be a pre-amp tube since it was only on the vibrato channel. i'll check it out.
  3. OK, today I bought myself the Fender Deluxe Reverb 65 Re-issue. I brought it home and for the most part it sounds great! It was on sale for $799 at GC and I'm happy except for one problem. When I plug into the "vibrato" channels and I crank it up till I get some drive then the high frequencies have a fuzz sound. This occurs only on the vibrato channel, the "normal" channel is fine. This noise occurs whether or not I have the vibrato or reverb actually on or not, that doesn't matter. When I use my overdrive pedal (Modded TS-9) you can really hear the noise I'm talking about. Even at low v
  4. Yes please let me know how this turns out. I was reading up on the 57s recently and was actually considering them so your review will be very helpful. Rawk!
  5. It has some good points and bad points good- great sound. killer cleans and tons of headroom. works great with pedals. it's relatively cheap. it's been very reliable. reverb sounds great. Excellent gigging amp if you don't mind the weight. bad-HEAVY, this thing weighs a ton and it's not exactly small. sucks at low volume, when you play at a practice volume, or anything below "3" the highs disappear and it just sounds like poo. the drive channel is a joke, you'll have to use pedals for your drive and distortion because the built-in drive is terrible. you can have it modded, or get a differ
  6. I seem to specialize in low-priced guitars that sound awesome... Acoustic - Blueridge BR-160 Electric - 2008 Gibson Melody Maker (the new ones, sounds incredible) ? Ibanez Artcore AS-83 (awesome for the price, considering new pick-ups, any recommendations?) 199? Fender Classic 70s Strat MIM (also considering new pick-ups) 197? Silvertone Telecaster Amps - Fender Hot Rod Deville 4x10 - Epiphone Valve Jr. Pedals - SKB pedal board. Vox Wah - TS9 (Modded) - Danelectro Fab Distortion - Fulltone 69 fuzz - Early 1970s Electro Harmoni
