  1. How many times do we have to buy this?  I was hoping only twice, one CD and one LP.

    LouieB

i would hope like some of Wilco's vinyl releases a cd would be included.

  2. This is going to make my afternoon root canal so much more bearable!  I'll be blasting Pickled Ginger alongside the sound of a dentist drill.

I think i once saw Nels use a dentist drill on his guitar back when he used to beat it to shreds. Before he got his magic box that makes that structured noise we all love. :twitchsmile

  3. Most recoreds I truly love are ones that translate while the songs are played live. I think these tracks have a lot of potential to be even better live with the improve that goes along with that. Random Nane Generator & Cold Slopes in particular have massive guitar improv potential.

  4. Giving it a fresh listen this morning...Joke explained was love at first audible for me and getting better each listen. Fresh sound for this group. But this whole recored on first listen brought a wave of nostalgia from my initial listen to YHF. I can only criticize the cover art. I don't get it!

  5. So the cover...Maybe tomorrow I'll get it, but why a prissy cat? What the hell is the cat sitting on? What does a cat have to do with Star Wars? Or Wilco for that matter! Why three pink roses? Why are only two in bloom? With every thing Wilco, there must be a well thought out reason. It's not my favorite cover and I'm pretty sure I would not wear it if it was a T-shit. I'm so fucken confused by this cover art!

  6. I unfortunately did not get to go to this show, but i had a few friends that went and their report was much different. One group were super fans, seeing Wilco multiple time's and even seeing and playing with Jeff in living room shows. The other were a newly UARK graduates enjoying the mountains before real life set's in for them, seeing the band for the first time.  Up to the time i had a pair of 47th row tickets sent to them Monday as a gift , they had not even heard a song ever from the band.

This morning i had emails from both gushing about what they witnessed last evening. The beauty of Red Rock goes without saying! From the funny banter of Jeff seeming to be in a outstanding mood to the great weather, and the play of the band.  Who my "super fan" friend said they massed up on Jesus. But that made it all the more special. I'm not quite in the same boat you are when it comes to the sheer amount of times you have been lucky enough to see the band; for Gods sake Jeff has been known to call you out at gigs! Which BTW is pretty fucken cool to have the lead singer of your favorite band recognize you at a gig and make mention of it. :banana

It may not have been your favorite show. Hell that Austin stubs show during AGIB tour that we shared the rail on back a few years ago when they did play Monday and you went ballistic was a pretty hard show to top.  Sometimes it's the mood and the expectations of the concert goer that has more to do with how great a show is then even the bands performance.

  7. She has a river raft trip in the AM tomorrow, she said she would let me know if she wants to go after she gets back. She should be finished around noon. If you don't have them sold by then your $80 is a very fair price. I will let you know. do you happen to know if they can scan from a smart phone at red rocks? I'm not sure she has access to a preinter.

  8. Are those your 4 seats on stub hub for $51? A good friend of mines daughter is staying in my condo in Dillon this week. She doesn't know Wilco but i'm trying to convince her to check them out. She just gradated from Arkansas University and is in the mountains with her boy friend. She doesn't have a lot of money if she wants to go what could you sell a pair for?

  9. I spent a weekend in a beautiful place surrounded by friends listening to great music and enjoying beautiful and thought-provoking works of art. As far as I'm concerned, everything else is irrelevant. I don't care who clapped, smoked, drank, farted, why we didn't get a second encore, how long the food lines were, etc. I'm just grateful I got to experience it and look forward to 2017.

    Thank you! My thoughts exactly!
