  1. The most unsettling thing for me with Wilcos Indy stand is,this is the first time i have ever had to endure people criticizing my favorite band. (even though it's mostly coming from people that have know idea who Wilco is, and have never listened to a song they have played.) In the 15 years i have followed them, even people who didn't like the music of the band never really said anything nasty about them. But i guess that's where we are with social media. It's so easy to hate when you hide behind a keyboard.  :heartbroken

  2. Cancel your Cincinnati date too/ We don't want your closed minded bigotry here.

    GOD BLESS MIKE PENCE

I was wondering when all the trolls would take the time to find this hallowed site! This one even took the time to look at the tour schedule! :headbonk

  3. I'm having so much fun reading the FB comments.

"I guess Wilco forgets what took place with the Dixie Chicks. Wilco can say goodbye to their music career as they are done now."

    Goodbye, Wilco :ohwell

Just think what the backlash will be once the conservative faction on the facebook thread realizes that Loose Fur's "The Ruling Class" has Wilco connections. That might piss them off even more then the boycott. :stunned

  4. i have never camped, but i do think this is the first time this camping service have been made available. But i also don't remember anyone ever describing the camp area looking as lush and inviting as the SS marketing photo for this camping service. :yeaahh   It does seem like a very nice service for festivals but also very profitable for this company. I wish i would have thought of it first!  :headbonk  http://www.theshowsherpa.com

  5. Does anyone else think $195 per night for a pre pitched tent, Cots, lawn chairs, A.M. coffee and ice is a bit excessive? I'm paying much less then that for a B&B in Williamstown! WTF? I sure hope the concessions at SS sound are in line; price wise, as the past three.

  6. I for one think MMJ would be a good fit. If for nothing else from my exposure to their fans, they seem to be on the same page as Wilco fans as far as being "laid back" and "socially conscious" of their fellow man. The thing i love most about the festival, besides the music, is being around some pretty cool people for three days. MMJ fans will fit right in, most of them love Wilco too.

  7. i had this little converstation on the Bass Hall facebook page the other day, hopefully it will come to be a reality...

Hey, gang, what concert or Broadway show do you want us to bring to Bass Hall this year?

  8. BTW ticketmaster is letting you pick your own seats now 2 hours after general sales, and it shows only 20 scattered singles mostly in the third balcony up for grabs. There are about 250 seats on stubhub so i don't think the scalpers had a lot to do with the quick sale. I just think people are starting to figure out Wilco is a bad ass band! SMU does have some pretty smart people roaming that campus not to mention the band has not played around here in a number of years.

  9. I think it's a combination of both, but have faith in your fellow board members here.

I have gotten some tix to a few sold out Wilco shows here by other members.

i already had a pair from a friend in the presale on the 6th row so i'm good. I was just trying to get some for some other friends that aren't so good at the getting tickets as i have been known to be. It's the first time i have ever been shut out in both pre and regular sales for any show i have wanted to go to!  :dontgetit

  10. I would like to congratulate the Dallas bots!  You shut me out of the presale on Wednesday and now you've pulled off the sweep.  Not a single fucking ticket was available either through the presale or from Ticketmaster at the regular public sale... and I started trying at the very first second of the sale.  Not even balcony seats. Looks like I'll be making some secondary market seller's Christmas a couple hundred bucks nicer this year.  Assholes.

i got the same results! Either Wilco is getting more popular around here or ticketmaster sucks more then i have always known!

  11. i was thinking that it would be two nights with Wilco and that last day Tweedy (the band). I would think with the recent release they would have to headline one day. Any way they choose who and what to perform is cool with me.  I have not been disappointed before with any of the SS fests. Even the museum art exhibits have improved from fest to fest.

  12. Does anyone have info about the Austin show? Specifically, if this will be standing room, GA?

I'm not sure about the venue and I can't find a lot of info on it other than it's at the university. The pics I could find were not very helpful.

Trying to figure out how early we need to et there.

    Thanks!

I have never been but i ask a friend who saw Costello there a year or so ago, and he said it's a fairly small room with no chairs and he doesn't remember a balcony. Prepare to arrive an hour before the doors open if you want to be close was his advise.
