  1. It has been confirmed that he is still alive.
  2. They're bright pink! I'm not sure I can state it any better than this. It was a magical night, and an exceptional weekend overall
  3. I liked "Under the Banner of Heaven", but I thought it needed to be pared down a bit. The power of the story got buried under too many words sometimes for me. Another book involving Mormons and murderers that I thought was excellent (plus you can learn a lot about forgery! and Emily Dickinson!) It's one of those "truth is stranger than fiction" books:
  4. Mary Roach's second book, Spook: Science Tackles The Afterlife was disappointing to me. I know it would be nearly impossible to follow up Stiff, but it really fell flat. Um, not that you actually asked, but just a little warning.
  5. Maudie, how weird that there's another book all about garbage that's just been published. Garbage Land was really, really good, but it's been haunting me (all kinds of stories about the dark side of recycling) so I don't think I need to read another book on the topic right now. I really loved Stiff: The Curious Lives of Human Cadavers, so you MUST report back. I'm reading a book you posted about awhile ago...
  6. you'll take advantage til you think you're being used cos' without an enemy your anger gets confused i got stuck on the side you know i never chose but it's all about taking the easy way out for you i suppose there's no escape for you except in someone else although you've already disappeared within yourself the invisible man who's always changing clothes it's all about taking the easy way out for you i suppose while i watch you making mistakes i wish you luck, i really do with the problem, with the puzzle whatever's left of you i heard you found another audience to bore a creative thinke
  7. I was at a funeral the day I realized I wanted to spend my life with you Sitting down on the steps at the old post office The flag was flying at half mast And I was thinking 'bout how Everyone is dying And maybe it's time to live I don't know where we're going I don't know what we'll do Walked in to the Thrifty Saw the man with the hollow eyes Who didn't give me all my change But it didn't bother me this time 'cause I know I've only got This moment And it's good I went to the gas station Old woman honked her horn Waiting for me to fix her car I don't know where we're going I don't know
