Does anyone have any info about the benefit this year??? Is it happening? Any info on dates, if so? I apologize if this has been posted elsewhere, but I could not find anything via the search function. Thanks

Songs Ohia - "Magnolia Electric Company" was the album that got me hooked; that one's really solid from start to finish (IMO) - and I agree, it's tough to beat "Farewell Transmission" (which is the opening track on that album).

First of all, I did check and it seemed like there weren't any available here. Second, you know as well as I do that even if there are some available on this board they could disappear as quickly as they appeared. That being said, even if there were some available, I would still post the ticketmaster info in order to ensure all who desired tix were able to go! I really don't see how you could possibly lecture me for sharing info that could lead to a fan getting tix at the last minute? But hey, thanks for policing the extras board, bra...keep up the good work!

Again, I know this isn't the ticket forum, but I just logged on to ticketbastard.com and they have re-released tix! So, if you are looking for tix, jump on there asap and snag them! Good luck!

Matilda's is just south of the Vic (at Sheffield and Barry) and is one of my favorite bars in the city! Really great atmosphere, KILLER jukebox, which is updated pretty regularly, and friendly staff comprised mostly of music lovers. It's hard to describe the decor, kitschy / offbeat / quirky, but definitely interesting. You guys should definitely check it out if you've never been, I find it much more interesting than Big City Tap or Kirkwood or any other bars in close proximity to the Vic. I'll be there for sure prior to the show, for at least one Bud. Just my humble opinion. In any even

I showed up about 5 minutes after the doors opened last year and there was no line. However, as someone mentioned above, the show was not sold out in advance last year. It sold out pretty far in advance this year. Starting to get really excited!!! If it's anything like last year it should be worth every penny!

I got shut out as well, I'm sure the scalpers were in on this (unless there were only like 10 passes available at this presale, which seems unlikely), they just can't keep their greedy fingers off, can they? Anyway, does anyone who actually got tix have any further information on the logistics of transferring the ticket to someone else if you can't make all 3 nights? Thanks!

Does anyone know where I can locate the pre-sale password for the XRT pre-sale this Friday (I assume we need one)? I am on their mailing list, but have not received any info as of today. Thanks!

I showed up very shortly after the doors opened last year and there was no line (I was surprised to hear that he had taken requests once the show started, I don't think there could have been many people in line prior to the doors opening). The show was GA last year and I assume it will be this year. I would recommend getting there right about when the doors open and you should get a pretty solid seat. As mentioned above, the center section of the floor is reserved for teachers, family members etc. I was in the section just behind them last year and thought the seats were great. Can't wait

That's what I like to hear, I was thinking the same thing about Tweedy, there's probably no way he would allow that sort of shenanigans to take place. Enjoy the show!

Do you guys think that people are going to be sitting down at this show (in the pavilion)? I sure hope not...it's no way to see a rock show, IMO. Getting close to game time...can't wait!

Good morning all, first time poster here...good to be here. Anyway, not sure if anyone mentioned a meeting place already, don't think so, but there is an Octoberfest going on behind my building (Adams and Drearborn) this evening, starting at 5. I think Hairbanger's Ball might be playing right around 5...so, if anyone wants to enjoy the nice weather, have some beers, and listen to some Cinderella and Ratt covers (maybe a little G 'n R as well ), then you're in luck! I'm thinking of heading there at 5 for an hour or so and then walking over to MP. Also, I didn't see confirmation in the M
