  1. You should get a fist so clear and climbing that punches a hole in the sky so you can see for yourself if you don't believe me that there's so much less to this than you think... :stunned

  2. I just "got" this entire thread. May I humbly apologize if I got my list wrong (If I did indeed post a list before, who knows really), my new list is

    AM

    BT

    ST

    YHF

    AGIB

    SBS

Something tells me Wilco (The Album) will manage to make its way to the bottom of that list, the very bottom. It could change in time though...

We must have been separated at birth... that's my list, too! :party

  3. I don't need to pigeonhole him; I just need to know what he did on the last Wilco album. There's no reason for one to assume he's going to do something different on the new album until one hears it.

I think their live stuff gives us a good idea of his contributions to SBS. That album was supposedly recorded mostly "live" so I'd imagine it's going to be pretty accurate. I think the gray areas are where you see pat picking up a guitar to fill in on areas where there may have been some overdubbing by Nels.

I think Nels has added all sorts of flavors to the band. Since the new incarnation of Wilco, I have started to love certain tracks live that I skipped on the old studio recordings.

  4. I like me some Kingpin old or new. Just like it period.

I may have to dodge some tomatoes here, but I didn't like Kingpin until I heard it on the Ashes DVD...

  5. Clicked on at exactly 10am and got Row S in the Orchestra on the left side seats 120,121,122 for show in Cincy. How is this possible? Bought tix for show last summer in Indy the same way and ended up on the 6th row. Go figure.

You did better than me... I clicked at 9:59 and got row B of the Loge. :frusty

It's going to be my first Wilco concert, though, so I'm stoked at this point to just have tickets.

  6. I ended up with Orch Center, row B just off to Nels' side. Which with the pit ends up to being 9th row. Not too bad, but I sure used to do better in the past, often getting pit seats. And those days could be in the past not necessarily due to a new ticketing company, but Wilco's popularity. :hmm :lol

I clicked order right at 10am and ended up in row B of the Loge... HUH? How is this a preorder? :P I guess I should have tried again like you did.

  7. It's 10am. Just had to dig a little more Wonder why it's through frontgate?

Good question... Is it possible they're doing pre-orders only advertised through their site so fans have a change to at the tickets first? It's not that difficult for a scalper to check their site and grab a bunch of tickets, though. Hmm.

  8. Never used either, but no big deal was just curious is all.

I'm with you. I missed the concert at OU and I have yet to see them in concert. I bought tickets to the show the last time they were at Aronoff and something came up so I couldn't go.

  9. If there is a presale on April 22nd through Frontgate, what time do the tickets go on sale, I wonder? I didn't see anything about a time....just April 22nd. Thanks.

Looked at Frontgate's site and I didn't see anything about it. Does Frontgate usually ream you for pre-sale? I've never used them before.

EDIT: I just registered an account and the other pre-sales are listed at $30-$35.

  10. You Never Know is my favorite of the live bootlegs I've heard so far. Can't wait to hear a studio version of this.

All the articles seem to indicate they're really going to be adding a lot more electronic texture and such in the final mixing. These songs may seem a little naked by themselves, but they may pick up that extra beef for those of you who think the songs are too basic. A lot of these are probably very WIP, too. They may have added more lyrics in the actual recording of the album.

  11. I've always thought the lyrics were referring to a dog or bear disturbing a hive to get at the honey and ending up with a bunch of bees up in their grill.

Ah, I see what you mean. The dogs who are laughing/barking later on are the ones with the bees in/on their muzzles. I see, and thanks for clearing that up. :) I don't know why that never occurred to me.
