  1. Black Rebel Motorcycle Club opened, and as usual they were superb. Shame they had to cut their setlist short since they were the opening band. I think B.R.M.C. are one of the better live bands out there right now. I've been a big fan of theirs since first record and anytime I've taken somebody to a show of their that didn't know them they have always become fans after. I'll admit I don't own any of the KOL's records but do like every song I've ever heard from them. I saw them as openers on the last U2 tour, on the first day of the new tour, and they weren't ready for how different the
  2. Been big fan of R.E.M. since early days and seen every tour of theirs since 84 Reckoning Tour. I fall into the boat of liking R.E.M.'s records with Bill Berry in the band and my least favorites are the 3 Post-Berry records and I do agree that "Around The Sun" was the first CD of thiers that after one listen I wasn't too impressed with. There have been well document interviews in recent memory that highlighted what Bill Berry brought to the writing and recording process of the band so I won't delve too deeply into on this post but one thing that really stood out to me was when MTV (when they
  3. BEST: Tie: San Diego State Open Air Theater and Shoreline in Bay Area WORST: Though it wasn't that bad, since I have to pick I'd say 4th and B in San Diego
  4. I've seen Wilco now three times since AGIB came out and unfortunately have not heard live yet "Wishful Thinking" or "Company in My Back", which are two of my favorite songs on that recording. I did see "Hell is Chrome" live at the 2nd Minneapolis show back in 2004 and it was pretty amazing. Just saw them in San Diego was hoping they play one or the other, especailly W.T., but to no avail I wish I could take a week off work and follow them around for a few gigs in a row to get as many songs to hear. I've just been kinda unlucky in that the 3 shows I've been to I have gotten alot of the
  5. Regarding "Drunk", that was in reference to when I did my post last night at 2 a.m.-ish after coming back from the show and heading to neighborhood bar til closedown. Once the show started, I didn't leave my seat, despite urgings of my buddy to go up and get more beers - I was not going to miss any of the show, especially from 8th row! Not knowing the song from "AM" by title, I'll admit that I got into WILCO when I purchased "Being There" when it came out in 94. Fortunately, I finally picked up AM at Ameoba Records in San Fran. the day before I was going to see them open up for R.E.M. at S
  6. Thanks for cleaning up my mess on the setlist!!! Now recovered from the post show fog and wishing I could go see them again this tour before it's over. I was hoping for Sunken Treasure, and a few more "oldies", especially now that I've read the West Coast setlists and saw in Vancouver they got "Red Eyed and Blue/I Got You" during their encore, but getting Misunderstood into Spiders was amazing and there can be nothing more said about ending a San Diego picture perfect summer night outdoors with Cali Stars/HMD! And for all you parents out there keeping score, I had a designated driver last
  7. You are correct! This tour I purposely decided not to follow the setlist of the West Coast leg to be "surprised" by what they played and it appears that is the name of the new song I didn't know. Besides the new songs, the two songs that it was the first time seeing live were "Hesitating Beauty" and "Via Chicago" which was SO COOL!
  8. Just back from another great performance from WILCO. Lucked out and got 8th row seats in pit during pre-sale which were the best seats I've had at a gig, this being my 7th time seeing them live: Just got back from bar after the show so I'll try to take a shot at setlist but sure I'll be wrong on order and will soon be corrected by persons in attendance that are ALOT sober than I am right now(or listening to live broadcast on FM 94.9 = Best Radio station in the land!!!) Side with The Seeds You Are My Face I'm Trying to Break Your Heart Kamera Shake It Off (One of many highlight of new song
