My husband and myself are flying out for this. Can't wait!

I'm going to Mt. Jam, so occasionally, I'll head over to their forum to see if there is any intel on scheduling or whatever. Boy, people hate Wilco and Beck. So much so, that they aren't going to Mt. Jam this year. So much so, they go onto a forum for a music festival that they aren't even going to, and bitch about it.

I was there. So, so, so good.

I had already decided I wasn't going to Lockn' this year after going the last 2. Love that festival, if anyone's on the fence, go for it.
What's the lodging situation?

I bought the 3-day pass but have been underwhelmed by all the announcements so far. Until FOTC. Now I am stoked! Love those guys.
Damn! I would've bought your ticket. I'm keeping my eye on Cash or Trade, Craigslist, Ticketmaster resellers; any other ideas? Also, watching for the Deer Tick aftershows to go on sale.

With today's announcement of Flight of the Conchords, I'm all in.

Phish opened with Lou Reed's Rock and Roll on the day he died. That was pretty great.

I'll enjoy that recording! The sound wasn't nearly as bad as I was led to believe in the boxes on Nels' side. We took a couple of newbies and they loved it! I thought there was a good, enthusiastic crowd for Superbowl Sunday. The whole floor stood for the whole show. I do not want to go to work today! Dave, nice to finally meet you.

Hi all,
In a failed attempt to get my kids to a show, I picked up 4 fantastic seats in box 15 for the DC show. They bailed on me, so only my husband and myself are going. My parental disappointment is someone's gain, I'm selling for face + fees, the only catch is you'll have to meet me before the show so we can exchange tix and $.

I sent you a PM.

Thank you, but I'm good!

Last night, for kicks, I looked up tickets on Ticketmaster for DAR Constitution Hall. To my surprise, there were 2 together in a box near the stage, on Nels' side. Great! So I thought, maybe this would be a good one to take the kids to, if I find 2 more together that are good, we can trade there so we can all sit together or divide and conquer. I looked on the regular outlets, not willing to pay over price. Today, I looked on TM again, and the other 2 seats in the same box were available. Score!

Is that how soldiers, sailors and Marines should be viewed when they deploy? Right or wrong, there are causes which some people find worthy of defending.
Military members deploy to serve for our country, not against it. I'm surprised that has to be explained.

Happy birthday to you, Donna!!!!!

It is sad and unfortunate if in fact there is now a widow with 11 kids. Although, I would've felt bad for them anyway since he left his family for this cause, knowing that it was illegal and that he accepted death as a real possibility. He shouldn't be made a martyr.

haha I remember going to the Meyerhoff Symphony Hall in Baltimore. Very ritzy place not many rock shows................
They open with Hell is Chrome and the yocals sit down immediately except about 50 percent of folks stood up from the get go. We were all used to seeing them at the 930 club
Some very angry yuppies (or whatever you wanna call em) started yelling at us to sit down. My dear friend is not the kind of person to hold his tongue in any way. So..............Im trying to ignore the whole episode because #1 im so baked out of my gourd that im about to have a heart attack and theres all this negative energy building. palpable. and #2 Hell is Chrome is like one of my top ten songs.
Nels does his thing as usual at the end and its so loud that you cant hear the angry white people...............soon as the song ends they start back at it.............my buddy says "get fukked this is a rock and roll show"
Im about ready for fisticuffs when they launch into Handshake Drugs and the whole place is immediately on their feet from that moment on. The meanies just disappeared into a sea of dancing. I think they even remained seated for a bit and then finally gave in
Right. They are doing a series at the Meyerhoff with current bands working with the orchestra. It was a fine setting for Dawes. But I'm wondering what it will be like with Dr. Dog. Interestingly, they aren't assigning seats, it's first come, first served.

Thanks Scottie, I'm good, I found some in a box on Ticketmaster. I'm thinking about taking my kids, so I'm looking for 2 together still.

I just picked some up on Ticketmaster. There's a few floating around in there.

No dancing?

I've seen them several times. Total pros.

I'm told our road is finally plowed as of this morning. Our little private road off of it isn't yet, but one can hope.

Today I out ran the blizzard to make sure I could get to Pittsburgh for Wilco on Monday.
I'm glad you have your priorities straight.
about a foot (snow, not taint) in the suburbs of Baltimore, pretty light, easily shoveled. Well, I'm making my kids shovel. Still coming down.
