You are pretty good at this internets thing.
I rock the keyboard, yo.

I listen to it all the time. Bought my copy the day it was released.
(I'm really good at Wilco.)

I am bummed to be missing this this year. Good peoples...
What he said. Although at this moment, I'm very inclined to run away from home. If that urge is still lingering on Friday, I know where to go.

Yeah, we opted for free drinks in the hotel room before the show & pizza. I heart the Blind Pig & my Dogfish Head 90min IPA..and the lovely Laguintas IPA I slurped down. I was rather subdued @ the show from my hopps concoction. Feels like thisbut grows legally on a vine in my front yard. Great choice for a solo show.
Did you get any good pics of the show?
We did flights at Blind Pig. I posted mine in the Now Drinking thread. That was a damn fine 30 ounces of beer.
I didn't take my camera out of my purse at all during the show. I should have, since I was in a good spot. I was also rather subdued by the hops. Also, something about sitting in a chair with a desk automatically makes me lethargic. I spent the show comfortably slumped in my seat and couldn't be bothered with the camera.

I thought you were in that area, Tammy, and looked for you after Great Lakes Swimmers when I was hanging by the stage with Wendy. I listened for you, too.
We went to The Blind Pig before the show. Awesome!

Do you think he is going to play Glory Days and change the words?
That's what I was afraid of. Other than that, I was quite pleased.

Thanks for the links, Rain Dog!

Happy birthday A-Man! When I return to Belleville tonight, I'll tip a Stag in your honor.

I finally gave in and watched the first season two weeks ago. I didn't want to like them but dammit, I laughed my ass off. I'm surprised at how excited I am to see they're going to be in St. Louis.

Some guy with a deep voice yelled, "Play Pet Shop Boys!" Jeff said that he didn't sound like someone who'd be a Pet Shop Boys fan, that he sounded more like a Packer Backer, then bantered about about envisioning a big, walrusy-looking Packers fan listening to Pet Shop Boys.
It was a really excellent show. Jeff seemed to be in excellent spirits and looked like he was having a lot of fun.
The posing at the end of the stage was absolutely hilarious! He struck all these classic, cheesy rock star poses so people could take pictures and tell others that he was out of control.
His voice sounded exceptionally well.

One of my friends takes bass lessons from a guy in St. Louis who bought one of Jeff's UT-era basses. If I ever get around to going to a lesson with my friend, I'll share any info I get.

I need to get my St. Louis tickets this week.

Today's the Feast of Ste. Genevieve, and also the first anniversary of Nat's passing.
I'm pretty sure that Cadbury Egg was a sign.

Most of my road trips in recent years have been rather brief. Like the trip with $3.63 last summer, which was a blast! I'm much better at the whirlwind, last-minute trips than the marathon cross-country hauls.
When we were dating, my husband and made a few road trip from St. Louis to Michigan's Upper Peninsula through Chicago and Wisconsin. Lots of good memories from those trips.
We drove everywhere when I was a kid. In 1981 I rode in our pickup truck's camper shell from western Missouri to Orlando and back. It had one of those sliding windows so my parents could communicate with me. I was eight at the time and felt like I had my own traveling apartment. Awesome!
When I was 14, I got to bring my best friend on the family trip - Missouri through Oklahoma to Albuquerque. We planned to go to Santa Fe after a few days, but there was a big prison break in the area. We were camping, and campers were being advised to stay away from Santa Fe. So we headed west and wound up going to the Grand Canyon, up through southern Utah, and across Colorado on the way home.
I've made the drive/ride from Missouri to Colorado more times than I can recall.
When I was 17 my mom decided we were going to fly to the cheapest place possible - St. Louis to Detroit. She wanted to be on my first flight. From Detroit we rented a car, chose a direction (east), drove across Ontario to Watertown, NY, and spent a week wandering around upstate New York and Vermont before rushing back to Detroit to fly home.
We got our GPS unit today, and I've spent the evening playing with it. Now I want to hit the road!

Seven Shot Screamers
I was at Goodwill today and I saw no less than four numbers bands represented in the CDs. The only one that hasn't been listed was All-4-One.
My husband, the recovering metalhead, suggested Four Horsemen.

Bar-hopping around Belleville, if I get my cough under control.
If not, I'm going to stay home and get ripped on Robitussin. Yes!

Happy birthday from my pack of hounds!

You just traded me for two beers?
Don't feel bad. There have been occasions when I'd trade my mom for beers.
Bob & Barbara's sounds awesome! I can trade you for a shot and a beer, and still have enough for a rather paltry tip.
I cannot express how much I am looking forward to this time next week!

That guy has, like, no body hair whatsoever.
Bill Murray's one of my longest-standing crushes. Since 1984, when I was 12.

You are my new best friend!

We should stomp him flat and shave him, by God!

I'll be there with $3.63. Think that'll buy me a pre-show Yuengling?
