  1. Just a playlist that I put together of songs that I was able to dig up from this woefully difficult-to-find band:
  2. Mr. Bungle - Disco Volante Salad Boys - This Is Glue
  3. This was a huge year for me in LIVE music, as I saw some pretty life-changing shows. Violent Femmes/The Pogues/Mojo Nixon at Poplar Creek in Hoffman Estates (Chicago), IL. My first time ever hearing The Pogues. Fishbone at Jesse Hall in Columbia, MO. The Replacements at the Aragon Ballroom in Chicago. but the most life-changing show for me was: fIREHOSE/Uncle Tupelo at The Blue Note in Columbia, MO. My first time ever hearing UT, a few months before No Depression was released.
  4. May he now find the peace that he had such a hard time finding in this world.
  5. Melody's Echo Chamber - Bon Voyage
  6. Anyone check any of this out? Would love to hear some thoughts. As I said, it was the best show I have ever been to.
  7. Cate Le Bon - Reward Weyes Blood - Titanic Rising
  8. Violent Femmes - 3 Barry Adamson - Moss Side Story XTC - Oranges & Lemons Eleventh Dream Day - Beet
  9. I can see how someone wouldn't like it. It does sound a little bit precious. I, however, do like it. To each their own.
  10. Folia de Santo - Folia de Santo
  11. Cate Le Bon - Reward Weyes Blood - Titanic Salad Boys - This is Glue
  12. Tom Zé and Tortoise -- Park West, 1999 A friend of mine unearthed a YouTube of the show that was just posted! So happy to revisit this and share it with you all. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AYs2J_YHrik&feature=share Hope you check it out and enjoy. Sound and vid quality is a bit rough, and the first song or so is a little shaky, but then the musicians find their groove and the show becomes totally inspired and inspiring. Tom Zé was 65 years old at this time, too. Which I find a little amazing.
